    Default First Vintage Machine Sumo

Hey all I was wondering if anyone could help me out...I just bought my very first pachinko machine at an auction this weekend. I really dont know anything about them but I took a chance and bought it for $35. Im having trouble identifying the model. It is a single shot and has sumo wrestlers in the middle of the field. Havent been able to find any remotely close to it online so I was looking for some help. Any info would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

    great looking machine..

just as an FYI your machine is not a single shot machine... it is considered a model "B" machine.. single shot machines are a few years older then yours..

as for the light there are to possable answers.. first is easy.. the bulb is burnt out.. second will involve takeing the covers off and cleaning the leif switch that closes the circut for the jackpot light...

start with the light and make sure its good.. then locate the leif switch and clean the contacts with fine sand paper.. or emory board..

take a look at this if ya have not allready

In my personal opinion, the disassembly and cleaning process is more rewarding than simply playing the machine (although playing is fun too).

Congrats on your first (of many) machine.

My guess the year built is probably 1976 you can find the actual date on the blue tag on the front of the playfield. (it is a 2 digit # starts with a 5) take that number and add 25 to it and that gives you the year of experation. then take off a year or 2 and that is the year it was built.

Value. It is hard to tell. It really depends on your location and the popularity of the machine. (Also how many machines are for sale in your area) As it sits I would say. $40 minimum. (picture of the back might raise it.)

Brother Max is usualy a bit cheap (he buys in grose bulk) but with out pics of the back side i would agree, for a california location.. you location might make it a bit more "rare" and get ya a few more bucks

I yes I do buy in bulk. But I do also buy them individually too. just the other day I bought a model B for $25 and last weekend I got another for $10. . Okay maybe I am a bit cheap. Still I can't really give a fair price with out a picture of the back of a machine.

Looking at whats for sale in your area. And now looking at the whole machine. I'd probably say $60 may be a fair price. But you may be able to get $70. But it really depends on the buyer.

any other members want to give an estimate.
