Outstanding job as usual. Interesting center feature as well.

I have the eaxct same machine with the same background. I hope I will get to it someday, but it looks like I will be getting a new powerflash this weekend to get to work on. Iv'e had this 1971 for months but it keeps getting pushed back in the queue.

Nice job, its always great to see them look as they should.

Is that blue detail on the ashtray factory correct? I have never seen any trace of paint on any of my 1971's. Either way, it looks great. (same goes for the "thank-you", mine have no paint at all).

I did the blue on the ashtray just for looks. I put this machine off for over a year before doing it, sometimes you just got to force yourself to do something, and having a buyer for it helps.

looks nice. I like to see the background on the finish machine. (However, I think I may use a different one on my machine. Too much there color for me. I'll probably go with the V-1 cell)

I think the highlighted Nishijin on the ashtray looks spiffy!!

WOW that is a nice one!
Dang, now I feel more compelled to replace my own playfield grapic.

    Questions:
    1. How did you get your two front ball trays so sparkly-new clean?
    2. How do you polish the lower ball tray aluminum trim, and the aluminum faceplate trim so well?

You are a master at this. You should publish a book on restoration of pachinko machines.

On the plastic trays I clean them with Simple Green then use RetroBright http://retr0bright.wikispaces.com/ and finish with Meguiars Clear Plastic Cleaner.

All aluminum trim I clean with Simple Green and then polish with Mother Mag & Aluminum Polish (it also work great on the brass nails).

Yes that is one way. I simple green, (superclean sometimes), and retrobright my trays and for the lower one I tape off all the plastic parts and then use a buffing wheel to polish the aluminum. Then again those mothers boys are great at making good products. (I love the mag polish on the nails it just works so good.) And you know what the jar says, "There's no shine like mothers."

I haven't heard of using the clear plastic polish but I do use Griots plastic polish and it works pretty well.
