Does it make a diffrence if you turn the machines on and off by the machine switch or is it ok to turn it on and off via a wall switch?

Wall switch is fine, nothing will be hurt, that is no different than how iy spent the first half of it's life.

The reason I ask is that the manual advises to use the inside switch. I am finishing my basement and am building and inwall platform for my machines. It certainly would be more convient for me to turn them on and off via the wall switch, rather than open and close the doors. Thank you, I will wire a switch for the machine receptacles.

The consensus is switching it off and on with a wall switch or a power strip should be just fine.
