Well I had been waiting for the color but I do not like that it is not 3g. Other than that it looks nice but another montly bill for the cloud hookup is not to practical if all you want is a book reader.

I just picked up a Viewsonic gTablet about 2 weeks ago and it is pretty awesome. I got it for $250 on buy.com.

It has a dual core CPU and 16GB storage with a micro SD card slot to expand...its a very fast tablet with a bigger screen than the Ipad
The software that it came with was pretty good out of the box, kind of a Android hybrid, but there was only just partial access to the Android App Market.
It is wi-fi only, no 3G.
I ended up flashing the software to a different Android version, now I have full app market access.

I have pre-ordered my Kindle Fire and I have a regular kindle that I got from Target for $139 about a year ago . I also have been a Amazon Prime member now going into my 2nd year and it only cost me for Prime $80 a Year . I got Prime for the 2nd day shipping but now they just keep giving More and More for that $80 Per Year with Movies and T.V. series without Comercials

I got my wife a BW nook touch screen due to the fact she SAID she wanted a reader and this was not out at the time.
The batter life of the BW is pretty awesome and the was the primary reason I got her that one.

The one really nice thing about the new Kindle is the Cloud Storage. That is a REALLY high tech thing and nice!

We have 3 Nooks. Very happy with them. We do download some books from Amazon, but we either read them with the PC app, or convert them to Nook format. I still prefer to own REAL books, though.

someone had a dozen ads for kindle fires wtih cracked screens, i won the best one of the lot

eBay - New & used electronics, cars, apparel, collectibles, sporting goods & more at low prices

something to play with for 1/2 the money of a new one.

i already orderd a screen protector to help the damaged section

if i like it enough i may buy a new one and resell this one

I got my kindle fire today and I love it

i got it registered, amazon account setup too.

then got netflix app and got it linked to my account, videos are excellent great picture, streaming and sound

also got some free apps loaded, argry birds seasons, pinball, mahjong games, and a few slot games so far

this is great

p.s. the cracks are below the lcd screen, not anywhere on the screen

they give a free app every the free amozon app today is normally 4.99

a space shooter with fantastic grafics and action, it even has vibrate mode

free pinball game is fun also the mahjong and slot apps
