    Default Greetings to all!

Hello, My name is Matthew and I am from Aurora, IL--the home of Wayne and Garth.

Two days ago I was on a delivery and noticed two pinball looking machines on the side of a driveway at a small garage sale. On my way back I stopped and they were still there. Not pinball machines I have now learned since reading a bit and joining this forum Bought them both for $10 each. One is okay condition and the other is pretty beat up but I think I would like to try my hand at restoring them. Would love to post pics but the digital camera has broken and I'm not planning on buying another one for at least a week. Will post pics as soon as I get the new camera. I know nothing about this stuff so I know I will be doing a lot of reading here when I have the time. Both machines look about the same except one has the name "Powerflash" on it and has some different colors to it, the cabinet is the same though.

I have a son named Magnus who will be three soon and I thought he would love to play these when I get them up and working. We shall see how I manage. Thanks for all the great posts I have read so far though (and for the many I will in the future), this site looks like THE place for anything to do with these machines. A very dedicated group I hope to join

    Hello

Sounds like you got yourself a couple of vintage pachinkos, if one is indeed a Power Flash then that is quite a nice model and lots of members do like those.

of course pics are going to help immensely with offering advice about your pachinkos, so I'm sure we will all look forward to seeing them when you get your camera sorted.

My own children love pachinko, both the moderns and the vintages, so I'm sure your little boy will enjoy playing too

Thanks for taking the time to introduce yourself, it's always nice to meet new members.

    and Welcome to PachiTalk

Thank you all for the welcome!

When I do get the pics taken should I just post them in this thread or is there another section I would be better off posting the pics? I figure the pics will lead me into asking questions about the machines.

    Mopar--
Yes, the one machine looks like that. Wish mine was in the condition of that pic though

Post your pics and questions in the forum that is the most pertinent, it will draw the people with the same interests to them. Since you have vintage machines, I would post them in the vintage pachinko section. Nice score!

Looks like you got some basic help. But when your able to please post some pictures and don't forget to ask questions. We are here to help you.

(once you have some pictures you should probably start a new thread in the vintage pachinko section. If you post in that section it will draw more intrest to your thread and your questions will get answered faster.)

Hope this helps. And once again welcome.

It is kinda a sad feeling. You want to try to save as many as you can. (But sadly you can't save them all )

Picked up a new digital camera today but it's still charging so no pics yet. Hopefully I will be able to start a new thread with pics tomorrow evening.
