    Talking Lovely Vintage Pachinko Balls!!

oh look at these lovely sphericals

6 1/2 Lbs of Early 1970's Pachinko Balls FREE US SHIP | eBay

I'm a bit concerned that the Seller can't seem to make up their mind on the condition though

'Some balls are in great condition, some are in rusty condition'

    'Excellent -- NEW -- condition'

but as far as I can tell, there's a few rusty ones

Yeah I saw that auction on ebay too. Truthfully they should all probably be thrown away. Even though a few look nice doesn't mean they are. Like I have a few that have little spots of rust on them but the rest is perfect.

I have collected tarnished, rusted and pitted balls in my travels that I run through the tumbler to get them clean, then I use them for testing dirty machines that I am evaluating for purchase, or for playing unrestored machines that I am trying to fix. I do not like to run shiney new balls through dirty machines.

    Hi
Perhaps some CLR could clean them up or nitric acid diluted

you could also put them in a tumbler or vibratory with some walnut shells and polish and it will do the same. But it won't make them shiny it will only remove the rust. Which means that if you want the nice chrtome balls to play in a machine go find a different auction because these are always going to be very far away from shiny. (unless you replate them which isn't going to be worth it)

Looks like they sold for $15-49 (£9-80 in real money )

so someone obviously liked them, actually 2 people did as there were 2 different bidders

Perhaps they have plans to clean them up and sort through the etchings??

I'd like to point out that it wasn't me Even though balls in the UK are hard to come by.
