Here Mike is your answer Plus a bunch more:

(to help all us orally challenged)
Pachislo is really a combination of the words Pachinko and Slot.
The Japanese pronounce it 'Pa Chi Su Ro'.
Say that fast, and it sounds like: "Pa chee slow" in English.

As most things Japanese, these machines are very colorful! They have great sound and lighting effects, and most models have several special bonuses that randomly appear. On some of the games, you can literally play for days, and not uncover all the special bonuses.

The hopper in the machine holds a couple of thousand coins, but the machine only keeps track of 50 credits. If you win more than 50 credits, they are spit out of the hopper into the tray in front.

Pachislo machines only take tokens; they come from Japan that way. On most machines, you can play from 1 to 3 coins for five lines of play.

The payouts table is also something that needs explanation. By Japanese law, the machines can only pay out up to 15 coins for every coin wagered. And... there usually aren't a lot of ways to hit.

Pachislo games have a 'bonus' game, and a 'big chance game'. When you hit the big chance game - it usually pays out more than 300 coins. How? The 15 to 1 ratio mentioned above still applies. But, when you hit the jackpot combination, you are guaranteed a certain number of spins that are guaranteed to pay out. Each time you spin, it takes one credit from you, thus maintaining the magic ratio. Special music starts playing; lights start flashing, and tokens start filling the tray rather quickly. On some games, if you're skillful and hit certain combinations, you can increase the length of the bonus round.

Pachislo is a big business in Japan; there are millions of machines in use. People exchange money for tokens, usually around 1000 Yen = ~ $10 for 50 tokens. (50 tokens doesn't last long!) If you happen to win, you trade in the tokens for prizes at the front counter. More tokens = bigger prize. However, there is usually a little booth within close proximity of the Pachislo parlor. They know the value of each 'prize', and will trade it in for cash. The prize can then be sold back to the pachislo parlor. This is illegal, but it is a common incident.

Dumb, would be not asking a Question here. We all have questions, some can be answered here and some can't. But WE try!
