Default Computer Pachinko missing a couple of ICsI

I have yet to see anyone buy one of these that was working when they got it, but as I can't stop tinkering with things, I thought I'd get one.
    Front of machine.jpgBack of machine.jpg

And as is probably to be expected, it doesn't work. I turn it on, and the light in the upper left comes on. I'm guessing the jackpot light is burnt out. I read about the tilt mech causing problems, but as you can see, there isn't much of a tilt mechanism left. I will say that the red and white wires are soldered in, but the black isn't attached to anything.

My smoking gun, if you will, is that it appears I have two holes for ICs on the board. I'm hoping someone else out there has this same board and can tell me the numbers on their ICs in the two positions that are missing them.

Any help is appreciated. I got this thing for cheaper than I could have bought the plexi for, so worst comes to worst it's a parts machine, but I'd love to have one of these to add to my collection.

    Thanks!

Yeah I was questioning those a little bit. But pic #6 threw me off because I thought he was talking about the big holes.

My recollection is that your machine is slightly different than this one? Possibly a different remanufacturer?
Anyhow, my machine doesn't have an accurate counter for the replay but the score counter works... and NO - I did not have a higher score... mine was 970...

It's confusing... I'm sending emails, sending PM's and now replying here...

On my circuit board, it has the same wire jumper that your has at the missing upper chip location.

On my circuit board the same chip is used in 4 locations (from your board) U10, U1, U11, U13...

I'm sure these boards were made before programmable IC's. Is it not possible to get their number off someone's complete board and find a suitable replacement? Then add a self input to fiddle the high score

CarlW is helping out, one of the problems is that most of the computer pachinkos we've talked about on pachitalk use the 7400 series ICs, and this one uses the 4000 series. I bought another one yesterday with a JAL theme, however, it's missing the same ICs this one is, the particular one is a 4017, which is only used on the board once . Had CarlW not helped me out, I would have been at a loss trying to figure out which IC was supposed to be in that spot on the board.

As far as being able to manipulate the score... I'm just hoping to get it working first.

Ah, only problem is the readout for the SCORE only goes to 990 and only goes to 9 for the REPLAY. It is easy enough to cheat, just pivot the see saw inside the cabinet and it adds to the SCORE. I guess this contest will have to be on the honor system... but an obviously doctored picture is some proof...

I am not sure if you need the part numbers of the 2 differant IC's

    U9 - CD4001AE
    U10 - CD4017AE

I can shoot you a picture of the PCB if needed.
