Default Searching for Japanese Cruise Ships with Pachislos!

I have been searching for quite awhile now for evidence that Pachislos/Pachinkos exist on Japanese owned cruise ships or actually on any cruise ship:lew:. The url here is off of a Asuka Cruise ship site. The following is translated from the same page that the picture is from :

    Las Vegas corner : http://www.asukacruise.co.jp/deckplan/6/6_4.jpg

"The casino of the mecca to a considerable degree excitation the game corner which can taste ardor. Companion of clues such as roulette, blackjack and slot machine or you can enjoy with the married couple.
(The tip/chip or the coin it cannot exchange to the cash and the commemoration item. In addition, direction under 18 after being married, modesty you ask amusement and the amusement of direction under 18, regardless of time) "

From other sites I have found that Japanese owned/registered cruise ships are not allowed to have actual casinos. So no actual cash is exchanged. So I wonder if they do actually have Pachislos etc..is there an back alley where they trade tokens or prizes for cash on the cruise ship?? :lew:

Does anyone have any actual pics from any cruise ships showing Pachislos/Pachinkos in place to be played? :lew:

That's what we have been told anyway. I have been on a few cruises and all I have seen is US LasVegas style slot machines.

My interest here is that we have several people in the know here that should be able to come up with something about Japanese Pachislos and or Pachinkos actually being used or having been used on cruise ships. I have been in touch with a few Ebay sellers that state their Pachislo and or Pachinko they are selling came from a cruise ship . None so far have been able to provide anything showing this to be the case. They just say that it is "common" knowledge......

The picture from the Japanese Crusie line that I posted here shows US style machines.

I am hoping to see and read about actual Pachislos and Pachinkos being used on Japanese cruise ships.

    Question

    Ok !

Here is a perfect example of what I am talking about :

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...e=STRK:MEWA:IT

This seller claims : "This is a real Pachinko slot machine from Japanese cruiser"

First of all it looks like a Pachislo to me.

Anyway I have written him twice with the question : " What Japanese Cruiser did this come from?"
Of course no response and I really don't expect one.

If I do get one I will relay it here.

I am beginning to think that this is just like saying Pachislos come from Japanese Casinos(no such thing).

My wife and I have been on about 10 cruises. We have never seen a pachislo or pachinko aboard. I search about an hour last night using the key words "Asian cruise ship gambling". And I used different variation of this. I couldn't find a photo of a casino with one in it. I do know that casino ships are big in asian countries. While it is illegal to gamble inside the perspective country, it is legal to do so in international waters. This is big buisness over there. The one thing I do remember is that, they discourage the taking of photos around the casino. I am including the only photo I could find in my short search.

John thanks for the search you did.

So far I have found that if it is a Japanese owned cruise ship, they are not allowed by Japanese law to have cash exchanged in the "casino" on their ships. If it is owned by another country and the ship is outside their "waters" then any cruise ship can have gambling with real money as long as it is not a Japanese owned cruise ship.

Maybe as time goes by we can get some input from people that have cruised on Japanese owned cruise ships.

It is hard for me to believe that Japan is that strict even if the Japanese owned cruise ship is outside Japan waters (??)

They probably have the same exchange windows outside down some "alley" n their cruise ships also

Hmmm ....... Crystal Cruises is owned by the Japanese shipping conglomerate NYK. They have casino's, but probably are registered to a different ports which allows them to by-pass the law.

    Ok so I did get a response !! :

"Sorry, we don't now what cruiser it came from, we buy container of the games from the Japan, and that is all we know. Thanks! "

So there you go : "that is all we know".....

I have written back to them asking who does know and if we could get the information from the people that do know. This is a good seller(100 percent) on Ebay so I am sure they will respond back with the answer.

Ok here is his response back :

"It is from one of these offshore casin ships. Which one don't know. Thanks!"

So I wrote them back and thanked them for responding.

This is all I have ever gotten back from Ebay sellers on this subject.
(actually this dealer at least answered where most of the others just ignored the question)

I am wondering where this all started anyway?

It started when some seller afraid to mention Japanese, decided that smaller must mean cruise ships!
    Meanwhile, somewhere in Oklahoma.

But Pachislos are advertised as full size slots on Ebay....

Anyway Tulsa have you seen anything on this anywhere? We were thinking it might be fun to take a cruise and play Pachislos and Pachinkos.

    LEW!!!

I think I found one of those "cruise ships" that might have pachislo and pachinko!

But the rooms are crowded... the buffet only serves fish (or at least smells like fish)... and the activity director is a little rough around the edges.

Other than that, looks like a pretty nice ship!

Seriously, don't you wonder if these are the only ships you'll find with pachi onboard?

Hey didn't someone on the old way try to find a ship that had these for a while with no results? Just a thought.
