Default 2 Machines out of my trip to Colorado

Made a trip to Colorado a couple of weeks ago and came back with two new pachis. One is a Kyoraku Electric. I'd never seen one before, the biggest difference I've noted is that when it is out of balls in the back, instead of blocking new ones from going into the shooter mechanism, it just sends them to the lower tray. The other one is a nice model A. My other model A is a singleshot conversion machine, so I was happy to find out that the balls on this one from a payout come into the upper tray. I haven't had a chance to break into these two yet, we've been on vacation, and I've been focusing on my other new toy, a nickel slot (different thread/forum). Pics below:

I found the machines down in Colorado Springs. There were quite a few for sale down there, but I wouldn't buy any sight unseen. There were a couple of machines with beautiful cels that had multiple pieces missing out of the back. The Kyoraku was put in a case to hang on the wall (with some nice wood work I might add) however, the frame blocks the where to put the balls in the top, and then also stands the machine up at a perfect 90 degrees (the complaint was it worked intermittently, so I lean it back a degree or two and it works great). The model A had the outside frame completey replaced making it deeper and then enclosed in the back. I'm very happy with both purchases, as in Ohio right now, everybody wants $100 plus for a pachinko, working or not, to use for wall art... Lt Teddy found my nickel slot, but if anyone else wants to see it, I have it in the and all other category with the rotomints and fruit machines.

Great looking games, hope you picked them up for a song.
Picked up two working Power Flash machines in the OH area this past month, l-man and t-bird both for 35-30 respectively. So there are deals in OH still, just have to be patient and of course stick to your guns
Nice looking games you have there for sure, the wood work frame looks sweet.

Love the model "A". By far and away my favorite vintage machine. I love the jackpot window that allows you to see the balls empty into the payout tray (especially if you add a light in parallel to the jackpot light right above the jackpot tray to it so it illuminates when you hit a payout).

I also like the fact that you can play for an extended period of time without needing to access the back of the machine. The recycler in my opinion was the pinnacle of vintage development. Hated to see them go. As much as I love vintage machines, I'm not a huge fan of the model "B" or similar units because you have all the hassle of a modern (frequent refilling) with none of the advantages (fevers...).

That's not to say I'd never buy one... But if I had my choice between a Model A and some other vintage in similar condition, the nod would always be to the "A".
