Default how do these pockets work?

KGrHqMOKpIE3tbWfed0BOHgN0jDcQ3_3.jpg I made an offer about $25 lower than BIN price...accepted my offer in about 1 minute! Literally! And it is a model A.KGrHqMOKnIE4N0ijLCgBOHgJNmGWg3_14.JPG I don't really need another pachinko machine, but I love the recyclers, and I don't have a ball feeder model A yet, and it has these strange looking "tulips" on each side! I'm sure I've seen them before, but never in person and never in action. I paid for it tonight, so I'll know in about a week. Does anyone else have these?

They are called side tross pockets and I just sent a nice one home with MOPAR. If he sees this he probably will comment. He just got it home on Wednsday and I am not sure that he has had time to get it up and working.

Can you post a picture of the back again I can't enlarge it.

Nice machine. I have always want one with the side tross pockets on it. But they are always too far away or too much money.

It seems to be that if you get a ball in the highest pocket (in the center) it will roll down the tracks and hit the lever to the side pockets thus opening them up. And to close them it should be just getting a ball in them.

    100 machines and counting...

[QUOTE=mxfaiman;414480]Can you post a picture of the back again I can't enlarge it. Maybe...but I haven't finished the learning curve for posting pics of stuff on the net. I was able to find the expired auction (thanks MrGneiss), I saved page to my photos and posted that. Let me try something...

My personally restored "Side Tross" I like to keep always "Play Ready" cause you never know when the urge to play a game or two or three , or four will occur

(thanks again MrGneiss) There are more pics, but not worth the hassle. Other than dirty ball tray, very light rust on chrome, and the usual cell cleaning... it looks great. I just paid last night, so I won't get it for a week. I'll post better pics when I get it home.

    Thanks for the picture.

Can you post the link to the ebay auction for it. If I recall this machine was in San Diego right?

Yes, that is where it is from. I don't know how... I tried, without success. That is why I mentioned how to check completed listings. I have "issues" with technology sometimes. Maybe that is why I like vintage over modern!

    ok had some free time...

the side tross pockets on my machine work like this..

if both pockets are closed... when a ball lands in the top center red pocket the right pocket is opened.. then if another ball lands in the cent the left one is opened.. all mechanical no power required

Here is a link to a previous thread I submitted regarding the first Side Tross machine I saw:

They are a really cool machine and fun to play.
