Back in the day... The CBS Mystery Theater!
I was lucky enough to be the DJ on the air at the time our local station played it. Fine show, and a nice break.
It's still around the net, in bits and pieces.

Nowadays... gotta be Bob and Tom.

One of my all time favorites was when the BBC Radio broadcast the Hitch Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy. I remember this well from my childhood.

Orson Welles...1938 War of the Worlds??? Sorry I listened to it on an album. Cant say I was into many radio shows myself besides some obscure shows back when I lived in Hawaii. Not worth mentioning here.

I listen to "A Prairie Home Companion " still on Saturday they come on NPR at 6P.M. to 8 P.M. and Those folks have been doing the show since 1974 !!

My favorite Radio Series of all time was the "Whistler"

When I was a kid, I built an radio kit and used to listen to "Radio Mystery Theater" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CBS_Radio_Mystery_Theater

They also played the War of the worlds on halloween every year.

Now days I listen to Mark and Brain, or Tom and Bob (when I can get it) and KBHR when I'm home.
