Pachiwall, Thank you, Thank you, Thank you. Great pics, dimensions, and explanations! I greatly appreciate all of your effort. Ever since I have started dinking with these Pachinko's, I have stopped listening to the radio in my service van and just ponder ways to improve my Pachinko's. I usually get at least a couple of hours of windshield time per day. I have a dual spindle type of pantograph / tracer machine in my shop, and I had thought about making some of the gears out of nylon. I will have to see how much I can get a stick of 2 inch Dia. nylon rod for, make a master template, groove, drill center hole and part-off some blanks on the lathe and then profile on the tracer. I figure about 5 minutes each to make em after set-up. Just a roll pin to locate the gear?
    It'll shine, when it shines!

Yes, just a roll pin. Surprisingly... I didn't see any kind of clutch or slipjoint to deal with ball jams. Just looks like a motor, attached to a transmission (gear reduction, I'm sure) to the gear. There must be some slippage device inside the transmission. WHY ELSE WOULD THEY COST SO MUCH!001.jpg Square tube was a no-go at Lowes and Home Depot. All aluminum square tube was way too big. and steel sq tube fit inside the drive guide, but a pachi ball will not fit inside. I bought about $4 worth of cpvc 1/2" pipe and some elbows and fittings. The inside dia is very close to perfect. Regular pvc 1/2" pipe is much bigger. I searched internet briefly and found places selling truckloads of sq tube...maybe I need to refine my search.
As far as taking pics is concerned... I took a lot of pics from a variety of angles to get the 1st shot of the gear w/calipers. All were plagued with glare that prevented seeing the reading. No flash, underexposed, funny colors. Finger over flash...very funny colors! The solution was elegant and simple. I held a cash register receipt over the flash to soften its intensity. After all, I'm only inches away from the subject. Worked perfectly, and all other shots were 1st take perfection.
