Well the starting price is not bad but the shipping the agent and the breakage is. If you are the Lucky ? winner you are looking at over a thousand dollars for the machine. Their is no way to get a good buy as they keep extending the auction till they have your top bid and then if they want to sell it they let it go. Now if you do not care about money both are great looking machines.

I'm sure every adult here knows how expensive shipping is (or soon will, if they go through the initial motions).

I post these so members can see many idfferent and varied types of pachinko machines - and because not everyone who reads Pachitalk is actually Stateside, nor constrained by your finances, some might actually have a chance to buy them.

I fully realize that and appreciate the post. I was just trying to tell some of the members of the problems with YJA. We appreciate seeing the different machines but I sure do not reccomend using the auction service because of the expense.

Look, I can't afford it either...

But everytime I post one of these, we get the same posts in response... 'these are too expensive after costs', 'don't import this whatever you do' .. Any reader will know that using import services for a 60 pound machine will cost them a bomb... so give it a rest will ya?

Members here can, and have previously, imported arepachis into the States from Japan using import services and been happy to pay. For them, my posts may well have some relevance.

I would jsut say to ya not to take offence... its not like anyone is raining on your parade... think of it as a service anoucment... I know Lt Teddy bought a machine from yahoo japan... and paid a bunch for it... and it is a basket case..

Buying from japan is hard.. it appers to be that it is the end degree of buyer beware and ya get what ya see period.. you cant ask questions.. not even to get more pictures..

i would hate to have someone buy an machine and get burned...

    Dont take it personal

I have used import services many times to Australia from Japan, and had no issues.

But I acknowledge that some people have not had good experiences.

I like seeing the different machines and looking. I have limited budget as many do and I do not have the patience or desire to use a buying service, unless it is would be for something
small etc. be cause of the shipping. I have learned lots watching the posts and I give credit to anyone who can go through the time and expense of doing this.
I DO see both sides and I can safely say I like window shopping only at this time.

I enjoy ur putting up auctions, Candyflip. I've obtained some great machines from them with one of them being the only one in the U.S. as far as I know. I've had a dozen or so total interactions with YJA and all but one were issue free but it was resolved. YJA has time extensions and eBay has sniping. Pick ur poison. I noticed the Taiyo in the auction has the same mods (fortunately reversible) that my 2 Taiyos had which was to disable coin play and pay. I can't remember if that's the same seller though.

I'm jealous of your collection emmadog. The only pachinko (early modern) I have seen in 3 years of looking is about to come into my possession. I'm afraid most of my collecting on this side of the Pacific, must be done in my dreams.

Listing intersting YJP auctions for you all to pick over, is my way of living vicariously through your successes.

Yeah, I don't think that group is listed on the index anywhere. I found out about it thru Mopar.
