    Thumbs up Bid Service

Since the news about Kiai I have contacted afew of the smaller bidding services. I got a almost 100% positive response from Juno at Bid service.
He is willing to assist the pachitalk community with buying of machines. He will also remove cels from machines and send just the cels. But he will charge for this service, 1500 yen for the stripping and disposal, and another 1000yen for replacement packaging materials. I guess an extra 2500yen is alot cheaper than the shipping costs for a complete machine, His rates are set at 15% of total costs.

I haven't used his services yet but I think I'll give it a try on my next purchase.

    Website is
    http://www.bidservice.jp/index.html

When contacting him, please mention pachitalk website and my name (Ian Quigley)
Oh I don't get any kickbacks though.

This guy looks to be a perfect fit for us - he's got the time, experience and know-how to get the job done, and his English seems pretty good too.

Good luck - let us know how you go once you use the service?

It certainly looks like he might be alright. At least he lists all of the fees he is going to charge.

Just ordered a cell through Juno - VERY fast and reliable, made all the better by we two being separated by just a 2 hour timezone (Australia - Japan).

Hasn't been shipped yet, but loving that I can get an answer back from him 10 mins after I send an email through.

This is the cell I ordered :

WaiWai Circuit from Heiwa - yes, a classic modern deji-pachi!!

VERY COOL! I'm a vintage guy, so this is rather unknown to me. Do you get the cell for wall art? Or, more realistically, I hope you would be able to put it into an existing frame and make it playable.

Clever! Exactly my plan - I just bought a framed game on eBay locally, but I don't like the theme at all, so with Compirate's suggestions in hand I've found another full machine on Yahoo Japan, asked the seller to strip it down to the cell only for me, and he'll ship it to Juno for forwarding to me. Then, into the new frame I have waiting.

I think my baby son will appreciate (eventually) this one more than the original. It looks quite fun doesn't it?

Then all I need is the ball lifter!!

Juno does all this for you - email him, ask the questions or direct him on what you want done, he'll do the lot.

My new replacement cell arrived by Sea Mail this week. EArlier than I had expected (I penciled in November 15th as likely).

JUNO was great - efficient and cheap. Here are the photos of the box arriving - he packed well and the cell arrived in perfect condition. Very happy.
The cell was in better condition that I expected, so kudos to the Yahoo Seller as well.

The invoice he included was also marked as 'GIFT' (unasked for), which has significance for those of us considering larger orders by post.

    Give him a try.

    OK its my turn

Went up to the office on friday to collect my two boxes from Japan. Brought home and opened.

    Box 1

Full machine, Sold as junk, but I only wanted it for the cell and spare bulbs etc.

    Sankyo Hot Springs.
I picked this machine, because I liked the music, the cell graphics, the animatonic sliding door paper screens and the led matrix to the RH side that interacts with the main screen.

Removed the Japanese mains transformer and fitted a Uk one, Fit basic dongle, fill up with balls then plugged it in. The original transformer was scary. The feed wires had melted onto the transformer. But only rated at 4A

Well. with power on. Round to the front and nothing happening. Black screen with a flicker, no outer lights or sounds. Dropped a ball into the centre and nothing. No balls, no sound. Back is flashing error 7. And a strange noise from the payout motor. Turned power off and do a reset. Power back on an the same problem. Remove the payout motor cover and found the motor not seated correctly. Refit and reset power. Drop a ball in and success. It payout. Check the shooter works (ok but plastic is broken and the return spring is weak) But still no lights and sounds. Opened the front and removed the bright orange face cloths over the speakers. And adjusted the extra volume pots. I thought it might have the same problem as star wars, especially as this box was sitting in the warehouse overnight.

So again after coffee. Turn power off, wait 30 seconds and turn on. And victory. Full lights, sounds, screen and sliding doors Test all pockets. All seems ok. The one thing that doesn't seem to work is the sub roulette sensor and tulip. Tulip is stuck open but free to move, probably linkage come off. When a ball goes though the sensor I can't see anything to indicate detection no x or o or leds.

Was going to be spares, but I think, I will use this as a learning experience to strip down clean and re-assemble. Will make up a list of parts when ready. But would like to do it in the cabinet when wall mounted. When the floor is finished
    So the bad points.

    Frame:
Glass missing, shooter knob damaged, payout motor case damaged. LH speaker not working.

    Cell:
Sub-roulette not working. nails need a good polish, ball tracks dirty, the girls yukata has a little paint worn off on the knee and a small point on her hair. Its not a point where balls travel so I can only guess its been rubbing on the glass.

Box 2Densha de go 2! CellBased on the playstation games.Brought because I like the theme and will put next to the model railway. Cell features animatronic train and railway crossing with lights and barrier.

Not tested as non of my frames are secured at the moment. It seems that the circuit board has been modified at one point as there is an extra switch fitted to the casing.

Also as a surprise, was a video tape. Not played it yet but by the box it seems to be videos of the fever rounds.

Now just got to wait for maison ikkoku to arrive.

DenshaDeGo2 is a great cell. I uploaded a video of it here:

It looks like you can change between normal (left position) and "high chance" mode using this switch.

Thats right. the switch says normal or high chance. Might be a useful switch when guests are round The video cassette is the original PV for Densha de go. But my vcr is pal format so it only plays burred and in black and white

How do you find the cell or frame and cell you are looking for? All I have seen is Japanese and it's very hard to navigate to find anything. Many translations don't seem
to help very much. I guess I have to type in Pachinko machine or Pachinko cell in Japanese. But doing a search has been pretty frustrating.
    Any ideas?

It is now slightly easier than it used to be. Once you find the correct category, just stay there and add it to your bookmarks/favorites for quick access later.

    Pachinko,Pachislo

You can type in with an english keyboard and it should come up with options to search for. But type in romanji

for example ball you need to type tama and the search field will show options including 玉 or various combinations. Delete the other kanji and it will list all its relavent to balls. This can be balls, lifters, trays, machines with balls etc.
Sankyo is a good one to search for as you can search for Sankyo or 三共 You can try it if you like.
Cells are listed セル so type seru and セル should be an option. For anime related pachis, its easier to cut and paste the anime title straight into the search field. Do a search in google or other. Normally wikipedia has the original japanese title in their first paragraph. Just cut and paste it straight in and search. Once you get the search you want, bookmark it so you can check with ease next time. I have in my bookmarks. anime cels of various shows, and various machines searches.
Any problems just post a request.
