    Default Kiai Update

    Sad news for pachi fans.

I received an email from Kiai this morning. It seems the role of eye-products has changed and will no longer be offering buying services from YJA.
Eye-products will now offer an english teaching service.

    But the email did end..
"when I'm ready to buy and sell again, I will let you know"

With the major deputy services not importing complete machines, and sometimes less then helpful customer service, will make getting those bigger items harder to get.

I received the very same email today. Id seen a The Ring machine on YJA and asked him to get it for me. Shame he will no longer be asisting us pachi hunters. The problem with buying from Japamart or SMJ is that they won't remove cells from machines and just ship those. This is what I've done with Kiai on most of my purchases from him.

I contacted another 3rd party today regarding shipping a whole machine. What I liked is you pay everything in yen. I'm sure I lose out on exchange rates converting GBP-USD-YENWhen I get a reply I'll ask them about cel removal. What did Kiai do with the empty frame?

I just never got around to using him but I guess that is now moot...
At least he has other endeavors and hopefully he'll be back.

He would send the cell and frame in seperate boxes.

I don't know what he did with the frames and I didn't care. All I was interested in was the cell. The thing is you don't always see the just the cells for sale. Sometimes you just have to bid on s full machine to get the cell you want. The cost to ship a full machine is to high for me so the frame stayed in Japan.

Hi all. Years have passed and the pachinko hobby has paused in the meantime.

However, because I was moving to a new place and had to move my pachinko machines, I regained interest into this hobby. And I am currently sniping a CR Misora Hibari machine, but today it is difficult to find a proxy service which handles full pachinko machines.

My current proxy, Japamart, is rather picky regarding the weight of the machines, and the machines DID become more and more heavy over the years - they are now around 30kg, and slightly above that limit, which is a problem. It is near to impossible to negotiate with the seller through Japamart to send cell and frame in separate boxes below the 30kg limit.

I thought, maybe KIAI could help, but found out that he stopped the delivery service.

I could even negotiate with the seller on my own since my japanese level is sufficient, but it is near to impossible to get a fully working YJA account, so my language skills are of no help here.

Does anyone know another good friend which could help buying full pachinko machines from YJA? Or a delivery service that works?

    Thank you, Andreas.

I use Juno at bidservice. He's sent me 5 machines plus parts over the past 2 years.

I know others have used him as well. Just tell him Ian sent you see if he can help out.

    What he said, Andreas.

    There is no better (AFAIK).
There is always another machine around the corner...
