Pachislo Shipping Box

Another member has asked me about shipping a pachislo. Do the common carriers like UPS sell boxes that can support a pachislo. Looking for some pointers please Any advise on shipping materials, etc would be great!

As I recall the last machine I bought online from a private party was taken to a UPS store for packing and I wasn't real impressed. They didn't have a single box large enough by itself and ended up taping two boxes together to get the job done? After going through their shipping system the box wasn't worth much once I got it and I had to completely cut it up to get to the machine through all the tape. The very best boxes I remember were the ones Gaku used and had molded strofoam tops and bottoms that held everything in place. Ah...Yes those were the days when you could buy a great machine for so little that you could rationalize buying another in the very near future!

LOL, I actually didn't find a decent box! Everything was to big, thus to expensive or to small. UPS said they could do a pack and ship, but that was in the $180 range. Most of the extra games went local and others want to Wayne-ooo. I still have games to sell, but it's just not worth it with shipping anymore

it's hard to find decent boxes. the only ones i've ever seen that were perfectly shaped were from the machines i've bought directly from japan, but that was for arrange balls not pachislos. in the past i've called around all over looking for boxes to no avail so i just resorted to cutting two boxes to make one that would work. it works fine and i also use a couple of those disposable plastic cinch straps on the outside to keep things together.
