I did have a Whales & Co. parts machine last year, but I sold it to mudfud and she was going to try to revive it. I'm not sure she ever touched the project, as that was right before she started her new job and she has been out of the hobby since.

You may want to send a private message to user mudfud and ask her if she would be willing to sell her "broken" Allwin that she bought from me. As I recall, all of the payout mechanisms were intact. The main problem with the machine was extensive shipping damage to the cabinet.

I do have another Whales & Co "parts" machine, but all of the mechanics were stripped from the inside of the machine before I bought it.

If you click on the "Notifications" link at the top of the page, it will take you into the mail or 'Private Message' center. From there you can create a private message (or "PM") to any member and it will be delivered. Many members get an instant email notification with the message when they receive a PM.

    Hope this helps.

No worries about the questions, Scottie. That's exactly what this site is here for.

I also prefer the vintage, non-electronic games so I scour craigslist and ebay daily looking for games the pique my interest. They tend to come in waves, meaning that there will be a dry spell for a long period, then all of the sudden there are 2-3 games for sale within a day of each other or at the same time. Be patient and keep looking. I do post the coin-op games I am not interested in on this site in the eBay and Craigslist forums.

I'm sure some of our other members will reply to this post with their thoughts to your question.

    Scottie,

I don't think I have any spare parts (although I will check), but do you need photos of the missing parts? I can take pics of my Whales & Company "Win a Nestle" machine, which is the same vintage and complete.

Let me know if pics would help.

    hi jeff
yes i will take you up on your offer of pictures thank you so much
close-ups of the "payout" where the choc.bar would slide into the tin chute and out to the player would be great.
i was thinking of copying my "payout" from a 'WIN-A-GIFT" ...which i think would be the same size and shape as the "WIN-A NESTLE...
i think i can make some of the parts i need...tin parts, middle and bottom coin chutes ..but the top coin chute is much different (cast?)...im working out a deal right now with a guy on the west coast for a few parts...
oh bye the way, do you put any choc bars in your machine? does the modern choc bar fit okay???
i was also thinking of buying a choc bar and use that as a guide when i make some of the parts

Funny you should ask. I was thinking about this the other day. I have not really looked for something to load in it yet, as the machine needs a lot of attention before it will work, however I was at Cost Plus/World Market over the weekend and I found many types of imported chocolate bars, some of which might fit perfectly. I have not tried any, but I think there are some options there.

Do you have those stores where you live?

    hi Jeff

we dont have that store here(never heard of that one)
no rush, but if you do pick up a choc bar that works well in your machine ,i just wondering the size of it so i would know where to start makeing the parts i need...kind of working backwards lol
i know there is one store here that sells a lot of stuff from the u.k. (scotish/british) so i will have to make a trip there to check out thier candy section

    thanks
