    Question Sonic the Hedgehog Pachinko

Ok guys and gals... I am new to the world of pachinko. I own various other arcade platforms... but this machine is all Greek too me (and I do not speak Greek or Japaneses).

As the title notes... I own a Sonic the Hedgehog Pachinko machine (by Sammy). There is no owners manual (does anyone have one I can download?) so I am a bit lost on where the reset button and other pertinent dials/buttons will be on the machine.

One of my main questions is about the front of the machine (left side about halfway down)... there are two very small lights (red and green). At times only the red blinks... but then the red and green will flash together too. What the double heck is going on?

I am excited about this new world of electronics but am confused/frustrated too.

    Much thanks!

Cool... I didn't know there was a sonic the hedgehog machine,
    Please post a pic

    SONIC

It sounds like a sub routine (roulette)
I can't make out the playing field. So can't say for sure,
If you get a ball through a gate on the playfield it will start a sub roulette, Can be either flashing leds or an X. If it comes up green or + then a tulip around the start pocket may open and increase a ball going in. Although its normally for only a short time (under 1 second)
MG is betterr at explaining it than me.

No such manuals in english as per say. Just what some people have got hold of and translated.

    oh and

    WELCOME!!!

Here is my stock sub roulette explanation..

Each time a ball goes through the pass through pocket, then one of the 4 leds will light..those are stocked chances of getting the flippers around the main start pocket to open for less than a second, theoretically giving you a better chance to get a ball in the start pocket for a spin..there is usually also 2 symbols somewhere on the play field or on the screen that are usually an X and an O that will flash back and forth and then stop on one of them..if it stops on the right symbol then the flippers will open..if it stops on the other symbol then they won't open..Then if you have anymore stocked it will start again!!

On some pachinkos it will always stop on the winning symbol and on others it rarely does..like on Star Wars!!

It is often referred to as the 'sub roulette' on these forums!!

I hope I explained that ok...Its a feature on most modern pachinkos!!

rupan777 translated some screen shots of the gameplay/specifications of the machine. It used to be in the research center, but I can't find it anymore. Luckily I saved the images and put them together in a pdf file. I tried to upload it back to the research center, but it said the file is too big. It is 882kb. Sid, can I send it to you for you to add?

In the meantime, just send me your email and I'll send it to you to see if it helps and welcome to PachiTalk!
