This reporter isn't a very good tour guide in my opinion. Tourism is for people who want to see the tourist traps and do things that are fun. The old saying goes [when in rome do as the romans do]. I would dojust everything that dull reporter said not to do. Call me a dumb tourist,but I would be a happy one,even if I did wear a geisha gown.

Actually a friend of mine was stationed in Japan with the Navy there warned them about pachinko parlors too...

I think I'd rather I'd hang out in the smoke infested Parlors (althought I hate cigarette smoke) then try to climb Mount Fuji. Ok...its just me. I have an artificial knee and that doesnt work for me.
