Vintage Diiachi - Sticky Jackpot Issue

Need some help, maybe someone has seen this issue before?

Picture one is jackpot mechanism, it fills up just fine the first time.

Second picture shows after first jackpot is rewarded, should be able to see that maroon middle piece won't let jackpot fill up again, it gets stuck.

Tried sanding it lightly to move smoother, it sure moves freely with nothing in it. The lever seems to move freely as well, I'm stuck (just like this pachinko machine)

Any suggestions?

it could be binding at the bottom jsut a bit..

the weight of the ball is enought to move threw the bind.. but once the ball falls off the jackpot are there might be enought of a bind to not allow the rod to raise back up..

check those lower pivot points for grime..

sometimes the wear of the metal axle against the plastic makes the hole a little oval and it binds. I have taped or glued another pachinko ball at the top as a counter weight on a sanyo that had this problem.

also, mopar's right to really clean the pivot points, maybe add a touch of lube.

I took everything apart and polished it like crazy, then noticed I may have used the wrong fastener... was thinking about how MudFud said the hole gets sloppy and noticed the bar was like that (sloppy) and also noticed a lonely fastener on the floor...

The screwdriver is pointing at what is the correct fastener. It had an area with no threads and was slightly bigger diameter. Not sure how it got mixed up... the wrong one is on top...

Works now ! Going to test it out for another 100 jackpots or so to make sure...

if im reading that right it says 51.. that makes it a 1976 sticker

or a 1974 machine give or take
