Default Star Wars Machine Missing Payout Unit

I purchased a Star Wars machine a while ago and I noticed that the Payout Unit is missing from the back of the machine. It still functions but I get no balls when a ball goes into the pockets. It isn't configured for cyclic operation so I can't see the reason the Payout Unit was removed. Is there a place I can acquire a new Payout Unit for that Sankyo machine and if I add one it what is the chances it will work properly?

so im assuming your machine still shoots balls to the play field.. when a ball lands in a winner pocket where does that single winning ball go??? when a ball is a loser and falls in the bottome where does taht ball go??

Yes, it still shoots balls into the field, the winning and losing balls fall out the back. The winning ball doesn't drop into the overflow tray like my LOTR game does.

    Welcome to Pachitalk!

If you could post some pictures of the back of the machine from the top payout ball tray to the area where the payout unit is supposed to be, then we should be able to let you know which parts are missing and if any cables have been cut (which will also need to be replaced). Hopefully a fellow collector will have some spares and can help you get this machine fully working again.

While it is possible that the payout unit was removed because of a fault with the machine, it is quite likely that everything will work properly once the missing parts are replaced.

Hi daverob, thanks for your replies. From my examination everything looks intact on the backside where the payout unit plugs into the system. Here are pictures of the area of the machine where the payout unit goes. Thanks for everyone's assistance.

Centainly looks gone. :-( I hope someone can assist you. Worst case. You might have to get a replacement frame.

If you like another pachinko that uses the Lumina Frame, you can buy it and cell swap when you want to play each one, then you can use the frame without the payout unit for future spare parts.
