    Default Finished my first restore

I have 10 machines now that I am working on in various stages or restoration. This is the first one I bought, just three short months ago. It was a pile of rusted scrap at a flea market. They charged me $50.00, and I doubt anyone here would have given more than $5.00 for it, but I had never owned one before. I wish I had taken pictures of it in the condition I bought it in, no one would have believed it.

This machine was stripped down completely. I burned all the rust off by electrolysis and either primed and painted or polished them all. Staples replaced by screws. All wood sanded and either painted or laquered. Complete playfield replacement. Machine functions 100% now. This was the ultimate rescue machine and it lives again.

A perfect example of a 1973 Nishijin series 2400. A common machine to be sure, but one that will likely never leave my collection.

    Amazing job!!

Personally, I think collecting and restoring them is more fun than playing them, although I do play mine a bit. I like how you painted all the wood on the back before you reassembled it. That is a very nice touch!

    Congrats!

Sorry I forgot to comment above. You did a wonderful job Rival. At first I didn't like the white on the back but looking at it again it looks great. It really makes the brown stand out.
