Hmm well from my experence when i used to modify nerf guns i went to nerfhq if there was any talk of an ebay posting that you wanted and someone else wanted it too. The next day 5 new bidders come in and try to steal it. But im new here so maybe its different.

With the cost of shipping, you will find most machines go to people within driving distance so they can do a local pickup. Machines come up pretty much on a daily basis on both ebay and craigslist, so it does not make a lot of sense for anyone to get into a bidding war. There are a few exceptions, such as the occasional 50's machine, or maybe a powerflash. I would be surprised to see a bidding war break out over a mid-70's comet II as they are relatively plentiful in supply.

    Pachinkos and patience go together.

Nope, I meant what I meant. Just about everybody on this site knows what machines are for sale on Ebay and CL. Just putting the word out for you so that other members know that you might want it and we'll back off.

I have about 50 machines, I'm not in a hurry for another Comet II. Of course you have the inevitable snipers waiting in the wings that you always need to think about.

    Good luck!

even the best pachitalkers can get mean on a sweet pachi item on da-bay.. but for the more comon items were usualy perty nice

I agree with Rival that with Ebay shipping fees, most of my Ebay machine are worth about $150 when its all said and done. But to get what you want, you pay the price. I think the Ebay machine is pretty close to what need you need but if you're in no hurry, waiting for that CL machine to come up some day may happen. I'll tell you Sting, not many Sanyo's come up for sale in our area. I think I speak for Jeff on that as well. In fact both of mine were Ebay purchases. One was in state and I had to do the "meet you half way drive to avoid shipping fees".

Who knows, it may happen! Its the summer season and CL ads and Yard sales start hoppin!!!

    Good luck!

Different model though i think. I bet they would take $75.00 if one were to negotiate well.

I need a winning ball tray (the orange tray in the back at the top) from a comet II so if you win the auction I'd pay you $20 for that piece. I'm new at this so if I have the terminology wrong I apologize.

    Welcome, Lee.

We refer to the tray on the back at the top as the "upper jackpot ball hopper", however you can call it whatever you like. I don't think there are many standard terms within the vintage pachinko arena.

my next one will be 30 and I am starting to have room issues 7 moderns set up, 2 cyclic moderns (would not be able to play them otherwise) , 2 moderns on the floor and 2 or 3 vintage available for play at any time. The rest are stacked where I want to set some more up but need to find a little more storage space (read as clean, rearrange living room and move vintage to there)

Well i would have to cover at least 85% of my walls to keep 90 of these machines. But i guess i could start a pachinko parlor in my gradge. But 90 would be too many to manage. We are making a game room so maybe i could get some to put into the game room. Also i cant win the auction. i only had about 100$ in my budget for it so im going to have to wait for another one. So sorry to libars i cant get the machine for parts. So i can wait for another one im in no rush to get my machine fixed.

Thats too bad Firesting. I was rooting for ya. It looked affordable for awhile. Hate to think someone in our group did that to ya. 2 minutes left to the end of auction. Lets see where it ends up.

You still have the better machine even in the condition yours is in!!

Ended at $66 with no snipers.

Jeff, Firesting, check your PM. I'm up for a donation to get this machine going.

How do I fix my see-saw? I can have up to 1 payout/jackpot beofre having to manually reset the see-saw again each time. The see-saw goes down to drop the winning ball but doesn't bring itself back up. Here is a picture of my see-saw. j 001.jpg

you should try to keep everything in one thread, it gets very confusing having the same question and replies about it in 4 or 5 places

I'm getting a little bothered reading the same question is 3 different threads. But it is all part of the learning experience.
