Sorry so MIA

Sorry I have been so away from the forums... but for the last 2-3 months I have been helping to take care of my dearest best friend of 16 years who was fighting a battle with Cancer. Sadly she lost her fight on May 17th. She was really special lady I will miss her!


But I am trying to get on with things... as hard as it is... I will try to be in here more often!

Oh Robin. I'm so sorry to hear of your situation and that of your friend. It's not an easy task helping someone get through a battle with cancer. I have been there and can fully sympathize - I lost my dear mother-in-law two years ago after she fought a long hard battle, but her body just gave out. I take comfort in knowing that she is in a much better place now and no longer in pain.

You have many friends here at PachiTalk and we all support you. Take things one day at a time and focus on the positives.

Things in life often happen that require us to sacrifice what want to do vs what we need to do. I am sure anyone here can relate. You'll post and be around when you can.
This place really does not go anywhere does it. You have my condolences on your loss and hopefully in time things will go at a more normal pace for you.

I am sorry for your loss... and not surprised at all that you spent your time helping a friend in need. You just seem to be that kind of person. I hope you find the strength to cope with your loss and peace in understanding that your dear friend is no longer suffering.

Thank you all...I do appreciate it... I guess I am in the anger stage... I have never seen anyone die from Cancer, it was so hard to watch her leave like that and the saddest part is I want to remember her the way I have always known her and when I picture her in my head I see her lying in that bed... I hope that memory fades fast , really hard to deal with.

Very sorry to hear that Robin. The guilt and anger stage are very hard and it seems almost impossible to continue with your normal daily routine of life. I lost my father last October and I think I lost 6 months of my life dealing with the grief.

But it is nice to know you can always come here for therapy and kind words. At least it has been for me.

Thank you again for all the kind words... it does help. She was the one who I would go to when ever I needed someone to talk to and get me through rough times. So I do feel a bit alone and your kindness mean that much more to know that others are listening.
