Default Newbie needs help identifying a machine

    Hey,

I'm a newbie. Had a machine in my garage for a while. It is a Sanyo Comet II with a Pirate riding a White horse with canons firing below. I need help identifying it. Also, where can I get more info restoring it. Wiring diagrams, power requirements etc. Any help is appreciated
Glad I found this site. Looks like a great source of info.

    Welcome to Pachitalk

best bet is to post a few pics of the back side as well.. (and a closeup of the center feature.. its huge and looks super cool)

there are a few posts on restoration.. it jsut depends on to what your expectations are.. and of course your skill level..

Welcome to the addiction!! Mopar is correct - that is a super cool looking center piece!! I don't think we have seen that one before.

With regard to information on restoring it, you have come to the right place. We are a VERY helpful bunch and will guide you along the restoration process. Just post your questions and the members here will respond quickly with the answers you need. The only thing we require in return is pictures of your machine - LOTS of Pictures!! (we are kind of strange that way)

Here is a thread that will hopefully get you started with the cleaning and restoring process: http://www.pachitalk.com/forums/vint...o-machine.html

Again, welcome to the forum. Visit us daily and post often.

Added some more pics. There's one close up of 2 loose wires. Not sure where they go.

i have only had my hands in a Comet machine once... but if i rember right the 2 wires should go to the leif switch that is blue at the bottom of your picture... that leif switch is what turns on and off the winner light with each jackot cycle..

very unusual center feature... i dont think i have ever seen one so large.. i would actualy consider it HUGE...

have you had a chanch to play your machine?? dose it shoot and payout?? other then the lights it looks to be complete...

    thanks for the pics

I've gotta say, for a Comet II thats the most unique, maybe not the most desireable, center piece I've seen!

No matter what its a great machine. We can talk about wiring later but that's not the most important thing about this machine.

Oh and by the way WELCOME!!

They do come from that switch, I just don't know where they go to.

the leif switch is jsut two strips of metal.. each wire is connected to the end of each metal strip.. there soldered together..

when the machine is cycleing for a payout the two metal strips touch closing the electrical circuit and turing on the light..
