I'm all over this one. I want the powerflash and the old single shot. It's only a 3 hour drive for me so I can replace the shipping fee with a tank and a half of gas.

The powerflash will require probabaly $300.00 in rechroming for the glass frame, and $200-$300 for the misc rechroming just to get it started, unless I can use a pristine frame from a standard B model. It will take more hours than I can even count to get it pristine, but I will do it if I win this one. At least it appears that the playfield may not need to be replaced.

The single shot will probabaly cost me in the neighborhood of $1000.00 to restore to pristine, including recreating and replacing the playfield. My best guess is that it is a 1965 model, and lots of fun to strip down and refurb.

I was checking out the back of the single ball machine, as I recently restored two of the same machine for an elderly gentleman. I think there may be some parts missing that make the jackpot payoot work. I posted a pic of the one in the auction and one I restored so that you can compare.

Spotted that lot today too..That's a nice bunch with the PowerFlash. That lot would go by truck much easier (Or they have UPS hundred weight that would ship cheaper) But Rival you have the best plan. Might have the parts for that single shot as we dig through our batch.

and yet now one is commenting on the fact the cell of the Powerflash is totaly unusual... that is the first one i have ever seen with a standard cell... all others have the green/blue cell on them...

i think that is a one of a kind machine... any one else ever seen one like that??? (we ahve seen power flash parts one reg Pachi but not like this)

I would rate it as a total mush have... if it were closer it would be mine allready

I got them. If anyone passed on this out of respect I thank you. It does kind of bum me out that the powerflash has such a pedestrian background, but I will enjoy restoring it anyway.

Nice to know a member got them. I would have like to have them but by the time you total up the cost with shipping it was too much for me plus I don't really need anymore machines. Have a fun trip to go and get them and don't forget to post some better pictures of them. Also, I knida like the idea of a power flash without the blue or green cell (it just makes it ...different).

I got them home today, 8 hours of driving All are caked (literally caked) with deep dirt and grime. Surface rust on all frames, but I think they all might pass with a good buffing, none look to be flaking off. All 5 have door locks, thats kinda nice. The single shot door was frozen shut, probablly had not been opened in 40 years. I worked it open, and was shocked to find the nails still had a shine on them! Too bad the cell is so faded though.

The Powerflash is missing a few decals as was obvious from the pics, and it has a few very small water stains on the playfield. Playfield color is very bright with minimal yellowing. I think a massive amount of cleaning and polishing should net me a fine machine. I was suprised to see the two yellow and two pink tulips, I never noticed that in the pics from other users. At first glance the level of dirt and grime made it all look like a pile of useless junk, but as most here know, seeing through the filth to the final product is what sets us apart!

PF:1974, B:1974, A:1971, Sanyo:1976, singleshot:mid 60's. Pics coming later, I am too exhausted from the drive.

I hear what you mean about the drive. When we came back from Sacramento we were completely exhausted for about a week. I'm not going to do that again unless I run out of machines and there happens to be over 30 up there.

The one with numerous tulips and has the odd blob cell on it. Yes you should keep an eye out for one, because they are the most valuable Nishijin machines. What makes them special is that all of the tulips are connected to solenoids. so if you get a ball in one it will open all of the other tulips, or something similar.

anyone want to explain it better? Sorry I'm just being brief.
