Default Please help me identify this Sammy machine

Sammy Rear.jpgSammy Front.jpgMy wife's had this machine for years. We're now having some problems with it and don't even know where to start. When turned on it cycles the slot wheels to 777 and then just sits there with some lights blinking. No music. Also, the white plastic device that loads balls so they can be launched isn't working even though it and the vertical white plastic piece that should move it when the plunger mechanism operates both seem to be in good shape and are moving freely. It's clearly a Sammy and we believe it's from the early 1980's. Beyond that we're clueless. I've attached front and rear photos.

The identification of the machine and, even better, information about where I can get a manual would really be appreciated.

    Thanks.

can you find a reset button anywhere on the back, it would be near the on/off switch??

Thanks for your reply, I'm really stumped.

Sammy Rear Switches.jpgAs I said, we've had this machine for years. I'm certain there is a reset switch because I once had it marked with a sticky note but that fell off some time ago and was lost. I can find only two switches on the back (and I'm quite familiar with electronic devices). I've outliined them both in red in this photo. The one at the upper right is a black rocker switch that appears to be an attendant call switch because it causes the unit to beep and the two lights in the upper left blink -- both continuously. The one at the lower left is a small circuit board mounted push type switch. It doesn't seem to do anything or, if it does, I can't figure it out. I've checked all the conections and fuses and all appear to be fine.

with the power off press and hold the button at the bottom, turn the power on and continue to hold the button in for about 10 seconds and release, That should reset the machine.

On newer machines that connect to card readers in pachinko parlors, there is a connection that has to have a bypass dongle installed for home use. This allows the shooter to fire balls. Not required on cash machines. On machines that need a dongle, there will be a LED display with 2 buttons on or near the upper tray.

and it attaches to the 25 pin "D" connector on the lower back (the thing that looks like a printer port)

Yes, it's there. I'm quite familiar with computers and it's definitely similar, if not the same, to a printer port. Nothing attached but the machine worked fine for years that way.

OK, I've done the reset and it didn't solve anything. Here's the status. When I turn on the machine it goes through a startup (no sound) lights blink and the slot machine wheels roll over to 777 and then it stops with lights blinking. I'm pretty confident something is loose but I can't find it. Does anyone have ideas? Can anyone point me to documentation on this machine?

    Thanks

okay, if it has worked without the dongle then it has been bypassed on the board so we can put a check mark on that one. No real documentation on these as they were never for home use and anything that would have been printed is in Japanese and even finding a copy would be near imposable.

Best thing to try at this point is to check each connection by unplugging and resetting to make sure it has a good connection.

Hopefully someone that has experience with one of this era and brand will drop by and have an Idea. I have Kyoraku, Nishigin and Daido from around this time but that won't help much with yours. Keep at it, we will figure it out at some point

one thing, have you opened the door and dropped a ball in the center pocket to see if it will spin the reels? if it works like normal doing that it will rule out a issue with most of the boards and get it down to troubleshooting parts-boards associated with the ball launcher

hate to beat the dead horse..

but the factory Dongles are really kinda low profile.. easy to miss and easy to loose.. just did a repair job where one of the problems was a missing dongle...

im not totaly convinced your ever had one but... it could / would answer allot of your problems...

I know that it won't help fix it but here is a little info..

It's CRくだもの畑 (seems to translate to something like Fruit Farm or Fruit Field) and it came out in 1995..I also think that Fruit King from 2002 might be a sequel to this one..
