Default Lady Bug Nishijin (I'm Back... been hiding)

I logged on and the PachiTalk website told me I've been hiding... Been on the road a lot lately, and I'm sure I've got some more excuses... However, and more importantly, I've got another new/old vintage. Neat mechanism. If a ball falls into one of the side pockets (where there a typically tulips) it opens the ladybug looking clamshell, as well as the rose looking one next to it. Machine is it pretty good shape, minor water damage, dirty, needs some paint/polishing, but it good shape.

Also, my Sankyo Dancing Clown Pachi is going the way my first one came to me. I'm giving it to my godson. I've got 9 in the basement right now, so I guess it's time for a couple to go on to another generation of pachi lovers (or at least pass on the addiction...)

Pic of the Dancing Clown for old times sake:

Built a cabinet/stand for the LadyBug, it's nothing special, basically I looked at what other pachi talkers had done and copied. I gotta say, I really like not having to reach around the back of the machine to get the balls and put them back in the top.

Well your ladybug machine is certainly in better condition than mine. (picture of machine untoched) Recently I have already taken some parts off of it. I mean there is no way to try to save mine. But if you need some special parts for that machine only I might have them for ya.

Thanks! Mine seems to be in pretty good shape, I still need to clean it up, shine the nails, etc., but mechanically it's sound.

anyone know how i can access the linkage to clean it? i have this same model and when a ball goes into the lady bug it doesn't close and one of my roses won't open. I need to get to the linkage and clean it from rust dirt but i do not know how to dissemble or get to the linkage. is it possible to take off the pocket form the front? it was working fine then it just stopped opening and closing like it should have.

Sometimes there are small screws that hold it to the front and sometimes small nails. Can't really tell you on your machine. Have you ever taken the back off of your machine? It's not that difficult and is a great opportunity to really clean it up. Sometimes it is just easier to clean / fix from the back. If you're intimidated by the disassembly process, maybe seek out a member close to you to help?

just a little scared to dissemble it from the back. i fixed this wholemachine up qith really having to dissemble the whole thing. would you reccomend the front? what should i do about the staples the mechnics have on them? i hope the linkage isn't broken and just needs good cleaning. wish there was a video tutorial to remove the back.

removing the back is about the best bet. plus you need to clean all those parts (you can't believe the stuff that gets trapped in there) take all the stapes out and before removing the part mark where the pre drilled holes are so you can put some screws in later.

(there are videos on how to do it all but the cost money. this way is free and we can get you pretty much all the way through.)

I can actually use more parts. So I don't have any spares. And as you can see i got my machine with no pockets on it. So i'm afraid I can't help you.
