I finally got some time to finish my machine. As the pics show, I used an LSU Tiger theme rather than restoring it. It is made of hickory and the top bin will hold about 5000 - 6000 balls. They drop into a drawer that can be accessed from the fromt. The only thing I have left is to install the lights. I am going to install 2 - 9 volt batteries going to about 8 LED's through a toggle switch mounted on the side of the cabinet. That was a fun project, I think I will find an older model and do a restore on it.100_0095.jpg100_0152.jpg100_0162.jpg100_0156.jpg100_0163.jpg100_0155.jpg100_0158.jpg100_0150.jpg100_0151.jpg

All I can say is "WOW!!"

I love the custom stand and the mods you made to the cell! That is one nice machine.

Thanks. I forgot to mention that the symbol at the top of the machine is Japanese for "Tora" which means Tiger. Or at least I hope that is what it means :-)

    looks great

I love what you did with the ball trays. The purple and yellow really pop off of each other.

What you thinking about doin' for another machine?

Also why use 2 9v batteries? Why not buy a transformer that plugs into your wall outlet?

Where I am going to put the machine I would have to run an extension cord to it, which I want to avoid. Plus, I am going to mount the machine on wheels so that I can roll it away from the wall easily if I have to open the back door. The machine is 3/4" hickory which is very heavy and the added weight of 5000 or so balls makes it hard to move easily without wheels, because it is top heavy. The batteries eleminates the cord getting in the way. The batteries should last a long time with the LED's, but if they don't, it will be easy to add the transformer. I am going to keep a lookout for another machine to restore to original and another one to do a 55-56-57 Chevy theme. Restoring classic cars and building street rods is my main hobby.

Has anyone had trouble with the balls piling up on the second ramp. Mine was occasionaly hanging up at the bottom of the ramp because the balls would be 2 deep at points of the ramp. I cut a piece of lexan the length and width of the ramp and installed it on top of the ramp and it solved the problem.
