Default Can anyone give me info on this vintage pachinko machine?

    Hello,

I picked up my first Pachinko machine today and I can not find any information on it. I think it was made in 1963 based on the sticker on the playing field. But I can not find any others like this. It shows that it is an Olympia Toyo Kogyo Yuki and the tray says Hi.Deluxe. Also on the playing field it is spelled Olimpia instead of Olympia. If anyone could give me more info on this machine I would appreciate it.

    Thank you

    Kelli

I'm not sure if if works. I do have a large can of balls that it came with. The balls have different engravings and Japense letters on them. Do you happen to have any idea of the value of a machine like this? I only paid $15 for it and the balls. Thank you!

    15 is a good deal..

the problem would be that it is a single shot... there great if your a collector.. no so much fun to play.. since ya have to load each ball by hand... kind of a pain to play for along time...

there great if ya dont have a single shot and want to add to a collection..

pictures are hard to see (dark) and it looks like the front has a brake in the lower section of the frame..

value on that one is tough... ummmmmmmm 40 50 bucks

    Welcome to PachiTalk!!

I see some of the wood on the lower frame is broken off. It would take a little handy work to restore that piece.

    Nice collectable Single Shot though.

Are you looking to sell it or start an addiction in the collecting of pachinko machines?!

Excellent find! It is extrememly rare to locate a pre-tulip model, especially in that condition and at that price. IMHO this would be an good choice for a full restoration. I would agree that 1962-1963 is probably the correct date. The manufacturer is unknown to me, but I am certain someone here must have come across one before.

A little infor from our friend the internet :

"Mazda began as the Toyo Cork Kogyo Co., Ltd, founded in Japan in 1920. Also known as a japanese racecar. Toyo Cork Kogyo renamed itself to Toyo Kogyo Co., Ltd. in 1927. Toyo Kogyo moved from manufacturing machine tools to vehicles, with the introduction of the Mazda-Go in 1931. Toyo Kogyo produced weapons for the Japanese military throughout the Second World War, most notably the series 30 through 35 Type 99 rifle. The company formally adopted the Mazda name in 1984, though every automobile sold from the beginning bore that name. "

    Yuki means "Blessing" or "Snow".

It is possible this machine was actually designed by our favorite Wankel-pushers, Mazda. How cool is that?

Great find! I love to see all of the different brands of single shots out there. You also scored a great deal. Can you tell me where you bought it if ya don't mind me asking? Also some better pictures would be great to have, also some closer up ones of the playfield and the back workings would be great.

    100 machines and counting...

Thanks for the info everyone. I bought it at a flea market. I didn't know what it was when I bought it, but for $15 I couldn't pass it up. I will try to take better pictures of it and post on here. I may end up selling it one day because I'm not a collector of these machines and I know nothing about restoring them. I have looked at many different websites dedicated to Pachinko and have not been able to find any info about this particular machine.
