    I admire the mechanical ingenuity in the early modern era machines

    Indeed you have very good taste i must say!!!

    This hanemono as you probably know called ミラクルシューター (Miracle shooter) and is part of Heiwa series "Big shooter" which is start in 1986.
    This machine of your link is from 1987 and this was a major hit in Japanese parlors. This series has somewhat been kind of a in-official flagship for Heiwa and
    still today the series is running (last machine was CRAネオビッグシューター (CRA Neo big shooter that was released of 2010) and in a time when hanemono almost is abandon,
    this serie keep alive the oldschool spirit!

    It is to bad new moderns don't incororate those type of animatronics into the games now ,they are so fun to watch the action with the balls.It would be kool to make it a part of the lcd displays.
