I recently made this Gamera wall hanging from an extra Gamera door. Rope lights and a small 8 inch flourescent lamp are the main lights. I had to eliminate the " guts " and drill holes, but no big deal.

No heat buildup since there isn't anything inside except the rope lights and the 8 inch flourescent lamp. I removed the actual speakers so there is ventilation coming in from the screens where the speakers were. The whole depth is less than 9 inches with the wood frame. I added the reel strips from a leftover IGT project machine.

Neat idea ,that would add alot of visual attraction to a game room. Could make a nice candy or nut dish too.

I put out a request to any members who are graphic artists who can clone the Gamera scenes on to an acrylic overlay to mount on the dark screen.
