    Default balls counter machine info

Any of you have a machines use to count win balls like in these photo:

I would like to know (maybe a pic would help) how the machine count the balls internally,. If there's a motor, some sensor. I bought one on YJA for a cheap price, known that the machine show an error, but I'm not sure if everything is in it, or if the sensor/motor is missing. I can't figure out what can count the balls.

If someone have a pic or info, it would be nice, maybe I could make a hack so it work..

there are multiple channels under the hopper with proximity sensors for each channel. The hardware adds up the totals.

That second one looks like a Glory JB-10, the other maybe a 30 or 50

    What one did you get?

    Thank-you Compirate

    I got the JB-1

After I read your reply I checked back and found under a metal cover the proximity switches. look like Leds or infrared leds, one row at the top, an other row about one inch beneath the first.

The machine I bought was sold as is, not working, giving and error. After disassembling the two boards holding the detector leds from the case, the machine stop reporting the error. If I put the board in the case (each led seem to do in a tiny hole), the error came back. So I guess the problem is a shortcut somewhere happening when the board is held by the case. Maybe I will attempt to melt and re-solder the connections.

About the multiple channels path... I thought about the same thing when I found out the detector switch. The only thing I wonder is if there's any mechanism to add space between balls so a detector can see ball, space, next ball, space, next ball.. It seem hard to believe that the detector will be triggered for every balls if they are touching each other. Unless the detector is not aligned in the track, but near the edge, this way it would see some spacing between the curved edges of two ball...

I unfortunately don't have the channels path, don't know what it's look like. This is the internal view of the machine I have:
