I have the same machine as shown in this old thread.

I have the instruction book and keys. Following the instructions I can not get it to change the odds. As far as I can tell it is stuck on the highest payout mode of 6.

Does anyone know any tricks I might try to remedy this ?

Hi

The only 'trick' I can think of is to be very careful and deliberate when following the reset steps... it is very easy to skip something or not wait the correct amount of time.

How To Set the Skill Levels of Your Pachislo
HOW CHANGE ODDS:

"TURN YOUR MACHINE OFF FIRST"

1. Locate internal key switch, and insert key.
Note: In order to change odds, machine must be in idle mode with no tokens/coins or credits being played and off.

2. Turn "reset" key switch to on, to access programming mode.

3. Turn on machine now.

4. Depending on machine type, a number from 1 to 6 will be displayed on one of the LED meters on front door.

5. Locate and push Skill button. Depress button and notice movement of number being displayed in LED meter.

6. Once desired level is displayed (1 to 6), push down on play handle (Joy Stick) for 10 seconds, and depress both "BET CREDITS" and "COLLECT CREDITS" buttons to lock odds level into machine memory.

7. Turn "reset" key back to off.

8. Machine should immediately initialize. If not, turn power switch to the OFF position, wait 15 seconds and turn power switch back to ON position.

Hey I guess I did miss a step. Because it did finally work. I was also hoping if someone knew it there was a more complete manual or play guide available for this machine. My friends have been asking me questions about what all the modes and lights mean but I really do not know.

Thank you for your prompt reply. Also the volume is super loud, I think I will have to get one of those aftermarket volume controls. I was able to turn it down a touch with the internal controls. But it is still really loud.

Thanks for the welcome everyone. I am suddenly hooked. I inherited this pachislo. I want another. Anyway even a breakdown of the play mechanics would be nice.. I am a bit confused on the way the bonus challenge time etc and all that works.

Most pachislo's have a regular bonus and a big bonus round. A regular bonus pays 8 hits of 15 tokens, then goes back to normal play. the big bonus usually has 30 chance hits total. depending on the type of game as in type A or B . A type machines have3 bonus hits, B type have 2 bonus hits. This meens during the chance games if you hit, usually the respin symbol the game goes into what is called a jacin round ,in which the machine paysout 8direct hits of 15 coins each, then goes back into the chance games again, until the respin symbols hit again and goes back to another jacin round of8 hits again, then goes back into chance, until all 30 chances are taken. Then it will go back to normal play.I hope that helps a little for you.
