Default My First Pachinko Project... Have I lost my marbles?

Well, my husband thinks so. I have always wanted one of these machines.
Now I have one to keep me busy. See I am now empty nest and need something
to keep me busy. I am getting new plexi and glass tomorrow and will start cleaning the front before I tackle the back. I also just ordered enough pachinko balls to be able to test it properly to see if it actually works. See attached pics.

Thank you. Yes I do have a question. Any recommendations on what kind of paint is best to use on the plastic pieces on the front?

Welcome to PachiTalk and congratulations on a nice interesting Vintage pachinko,

I'm sure you will have fun learning how these work and restoring anything that requires attention, there are some really good threads in the Vintage Section of the Forums, but do please post with any questions you may have, as there are a lot of members currently restoring their own machines and they will be happy to give you up to date info

WELCOME! I have painted some of my center attraction parts using enamel paint and I was not too happy with how it looked. It looks good but diff from the original paint. One option someone here suggested was to use a stained glass paint which I am going to try next. The paint they used originally seems almost like a water color paint. It looks almost transparent in the center and gets thicker around the edges. Hope this was helpful.

Don't worry about your marbles, the shiny spheres work much better in these machines anyway!

I like using model acrylics, there are a bunch of colors, and it has good water clean up. I worked on a buddy's Daichi, and am now looking for one of my own, I really like the different shape of the glass. Yours looks to be in good shape, and I'm sure you won't have any problems, there are lots of resources here. I've been at it for under a year and haven't had a question that couldn't be answered... By the way, have you picked out your next machine yet???

Thats what I was thinking about using - my son used acrylic paints on his model cars. In answer to your question, NO, but
I have been looking. I want to see how much $$$ this one takes to restore first. I do like the ones with vibrant colors though!
