    It says:

Many ball is happy play! Operate lever to activate ball up rotating slide. Make big fun when pocket fall with many ball return to play again.

    1. Insert ball into tray in upper position.
    2. Operate level down and to shoot ball release.
    3. Great joy in watch ball fall into pocket.
    4. Light to blink with winning.
    5. Top light left to burn when machine no longer have ball to pay win.

    Ok... that's my best effort.

Actually... I have no idea what it says... but figure I must be close.

Thank you, thank you. I'm here all week. Don't forget to tip the waitress.

millermaster1, you might want to post closer and clear shots of the banner. One pic of the left, one of the right.

I was just going through my dictionary and the first picture. First line instructions are already what you have found by tinkering. Insert coin and press button. I just can't make out all the kanji. sorry. Only been studying for a short time.
But I hope these links will help you get your winning lines

I was hoping this would tell me more about the game play and how the payouts occur
I think I have to follow some of Drunkenclam's websites and see where that get's me!
Compirate, have you ever seen or played a game like this?

Hey Drunkenclam, do you see any information on how the game pays out on the instruction card? There is nothing electrical, so I'm wondering how the different hands would be paid? There must be a human element to this game, its got me perplexed!

I also included some more writing on the front, this is where the game starts.

Ok. My tutor looked at the pics. And she hasn't read any of your posts.

    basic instructions.

Insert coin in to slot to make the balls playable.
Shot 14 balls. then press yellow buttons 10 times and re shot to score winning line.
    At the end press reset.

The other picture as compirate says is the winning combinations and how many coins you win. The key to winning/testing is understanding the winning hands.
For some reason the last pic, doesn't show up as not a jpeg file but php

I can't make out the third kanji on the bottom row..Does it look like this

    御注意
    玉が流れてから玉出しボタンを押して下さい

    I think
    Attention.
Press the ball out button (玉出) for ball to flow from here.

Can you give us a pic of the mahjong tiles please

I sure can get more photos! If you need better resolution, send me a PM with your email and I can forward.
14 balls to play...interesting, very difficult to win I read another post that said 30.
Did you read anything on how the player is to collect their tokens? I still wonder if something like a cpu was removed, but everything is mechanical? Their is no way for the game to record a winning hand vs. a 4 coin payout etc...
Kinda wierd that no other pachi talk member doesn't have one

Thanks again for all your help

Ok. I notice from the pic in the vintage pachinko section it has a dial below the playing field that goes up to 10. Can you see what this connects to this dial.
I would also try some simple hands like 4 of the same pocket (don't drop a 5 one in as it says out) Or a run of number 3 or 4 numbers. remember 1 looks like a circle.
Or north south east west. The last 4 symbols on the right hand side. Maybe also think like a pachi, It there are not enough tokens it may not function. Can you fill the tube up half way? I wonder being mechanical if you have to press the reset button once for every coin won, So if you get win 4, you have to press the button 4 times? Can you see a way of reseting the dial. I guess its on a rachet?

I remember someone posted a link to a page that had some vintage pachi simulator games and one of them was a mah jong pachi I think..it wasn't fancy but if it was accurate it might help in learning how to play??

Only problem is I can't find the post or link or remember who posted it..It might have been posted in the Vintage forum, but I'm probably wrong about that too!!
