Sorry Jim. I can't help you. I'm sure one of the others will be along to answer your question. Can you not replace bulb and holder? Or try to find a 6v or 12v rated bulb

I have bought them at radio shack, true value, ace hardwear... any good harwear store should stock them... dont get so hung up on 9 volt.. 6 volt bulbs work great and are nice and bright... 12 volts work as wel but are a bit dim...

if your in a total pinch i can mail ya some from NorCal..

Hey Jim. I use 7.5 volt bulbs in all of my vintage machines and I get them at Radio Shack (in the back of the store in the steele drawers). I think a package of 3 will cost under $2.

I connect them using a 9 volt battery for power and they work nicely. I have been using 7.5v bulbs for several years and have never had one burn out, plus they do give a little brighter flash than a 9v bulb would.

Like Mopar, I use the 6v bulbs from Radioshack (actually 6.5v in my case). The Radioshacks in my area still have the 'gadget' drawers with all sorts of little bulbs, switches, etc, and they're cheap.

Hey Jim seeing you are in the OC area instead of buying your electronics at Radioshack go to MarVac. They have a store in Costa Mesa. Some of their prices are cheaper than Radioshack and they also carry a lot more stuff. Here is their website if you are interested: http://www.marvac.com/ This is where I buy all of the electronics for my machines. Here is the address:
    2001 Harbor Blvd.
    Costa Mesa, CA 92627

    100 machines and counting...
