Orange LED on Soundboard Star Wars Darth Vader

I noticed that on the soundboard of my Star Wars Darth Vader there is an Orange Led burning, it flashes in the Start Upe Mode and burns constantly in normal play Mode.

Can anyone tell me if this LED has to burn normally , what its fuction is and does anyone have this LED also burning on his Star Wars II ?

Maybe it's just an indicator that there should be sound. In start up and attract mode there is usually no sound. I don't know if this is the case with this machine I don't have one.
