Hmmmm, I have no money..So I don't think I'd be able to play anything.. It would have been much better if the free hypothetical round trip to Japan had came with $5000 hypothetical spending cash!!

ah but the trip is all inclusive so the cost of remein is immaterial ... and in my mind i won big on the first ball so the cost is also redundant ...this is my hypathetical so theres a few other things that are free as well ...

Ah very true. A won vacation would most certainly include some spending money.

Keep in mind, when you win that hypothetical trip, the IRS considers it "income" and they will want their hypothetical 30%.

I won a trip to Hawii a few years ago. Airfare for 2, a week at the Maui Ritz Carlton (highly recommended, if you can afford it), and $200 hotel credit for food and such. It was a great trip but, at the end of the year, the company that I won the trip from sent me (and the IRS) a 1099-Misc form, showing the cash value of the trip...as income to me.

IRS didn't want 30% of the trip, they wanted their money in cash.

I'm guessing the point you're trying to make with your post is that there's an animated .gif version of my avatar.

I know: That's the file I've used as my avatar. It just won't animate...and I have no idea why.
