Default Any tips for sticking tulips?

One of the tulips on my New Gin sticks. The ball will go in (if it's open) and it will partially close. The ball won't drop all the way and pay out the jackpot until another ball comes along and bumps the tulip. I've removed it and cleaned it as best I could. Should I try some type of lubricant or something?

depending on the style of tulip...

the most comon is the style that has two metal tabs pointing down.. these tabe get bent from time to time from people who dont know how to unjam a machine...

take a look at the angle and position of the one that is not working compaired to one that is working...

i was working with a member the other day and he has a tulip that was working sometimes and not others??? it ended up haveing a small piece of plastic broken.. but as the wing of the tulip would slid back an forward in its pivot nail it would work.. when it was slid forward the missing pice of plastic did not make contact and then it would not work..

some times it is best to pull the tulip out so ya can see it work from every angle...

if ya get in a pinch post a few close up pics

Hi I am the one wrkey, and others, assisted with sticking tulips. The first issue was the tulips sticking due to needed cleaning, and adjusting the prongs, as wrkey described, so with assistance I did that.
The next issue was tulips sticking sometimes, and the balls were jamming up behind the tulips, so took tulips out, and there was a piece of broken plastic in the track, removed it, and working ok.
Then the payout would work sometimes, not always, so I worked the flipper from the back of the machine and watched the levers when a payout took place or Stopped. The long 'seesaw' would sometimes, stick halfway on the way down. Took the plastic cover off, cleaned the pivot points, and added a touch of 3 in1 oil to them, much better now.
I would not have been able to figure out any of this without the help of all the good folks here, so Thanks again.
