    Default How to pull nail?

    Hi,

I keep reading on old listings that the nails that hold decor at straight forward, but the ones where the balls bounce off of have a twist to them. Do they twist clockwise to tighten or what? Also what tools do you use to remove the nails and put them back.

Any help would be great thanks a mill

    Thanks

A cat's paw nail puller is all you need. Members here have come up with clever techniques and home made tools but that was before someone posted on here about cat's paw pullers. Do a google search-you can find them from about 2-5 bucks from Amazon or Harbor Freight Tools. Well worth the money and you won't use anything else after that. For my first restoration I used the pliers and tape method until I bought one of these pullers which I used for the next 3. What used to be a huge pain during restorations and turns many away from nail pulling now averages me maybe 8-10 minutes per machine plus 2 nails at once can be pulled out if they're close together, and the nails don't get scratched up.
