I'm not familiar with pachislos and where LEDs would go but white ones produce almost a blueish light which will change the appearance somewhat. If that's a concern then you may want to find ones that mimic the original light color.

Also forgot to mention that LEDs do not emit light 360 degrees. They throw light in various angles (think of a spot to a flood light). So you may get some and think they will light up everything quite nicely only to find out that a very small area is being illuminated. I'm sure you can find some that will do what you want but you will probably have to do some research.

Are you sure they are T5??
Post a picture with a couple of the bulbs laying down next to a quarter for exact size reference.
That will be a big help

The vast majority of pachislos use T10 wedge base 24V - 28V bulbs @ 3 Watts

Here are some T5 24V bulbs but they are not cheap.

You will not be happy with LEDs. I have tried a lot of things and they are not satisfying at all.
There are LEDs that are close to the incandescent lighting effect but they do not spread the light 360 degrees like regular bulbs.
I have found an excellent LED diffusing material that can be used but it costs about $50 per bulb presently.
I don't think that is worth it!!

nope they are exactly like the ones in the original LED auction except with an incandescent bulb where the LED is.

Most led lighting systems are 12 volts . when they are incorporated into circuit boards it is more like 1to3 volts. 24 volts will fry them in seconds.

I believe the ones on Ebay have a resistor so they can be used on a 12V circuit.

When the machine was on I was getting 11.8 VAC (measured at the plug) going to the board with the bulbs. they are wired in series per pair for each line.

"The vast majority of pachislos use T10 wedge base 24V - 28V bulbs @ 3 Watts

Since you stated that the bulbs look like the ones you posted before
it sounds as if you have removed the bulbs from your machine and may not realize
that the bulbs have to then be pulled out of the black plastic base for replacement.
The base is reuseable! I have known of a couple of people who have accidentally discarded
both bulb and base thinking they were a single unit.
Just wiggle them from side to side gently till they come out!
    could this be the case?

OH, your links to the bulb pictures don't seem to work!

try clicking the links for some reason they didn't show. the bulbs have 2 small wire leads going thru the sockets like christmas light bulbs. the bulbs are not removable I tried. I have the "wedge" bulbs you are referring to these bulbs are smaller approx 7/8" long.

    Hi there,
I do stock many of these bulb lights, I did get a box with many spare bulb lights in a order long time ago, they only difference is that the bulb holders I got here are black.

If I can help you just PM me.

    Regards

subdude; I know the t-5 bulbs you are talking about, mine Aristocrat takes 18 of them. your from Az. too...KOOL.
go to any auto parts store , take a burned out bulb with you to match up.
we are talking about the x-mas tree "looking" type ?? any how ,the wedge base type (various sizes) bulbs can ALSO be found there.
I have 2 different machines with different bulbs & leds. so I went there & found what I needed. 2 bulbs for under $5.00 ,that's for both types. the "x-mass type have the same brightness as the originals.
the wedge type ARE brighter !! twice or 3 times brighter.
the bulbs & packages only mention the Volts , not amps ,or watts.
must be 6 or 7 different types of the wedge type there = different sizes. home depot also has the wedge ones (various volts/ watts, different sizes) , but cost a lot more. AND much brighter as they are for out side patio lighting.

did I help ? or did I think of the wrong type you need ? jeff

close but they are the wrong ones. I ended up making my own modifications with white LED's using the original bulb sockets & proper current limiting resistor values. it came out perfect & the white light actually made the colors more vivid on the reels.
