Just got my first Pachinko machine. Not sure if more await me out there but certainly excited about this one. It's a Sanyo Comet II and apart from the small bag of extra parts and no balls, it should be a fun and fulfilling project.
It may take a while to understand and relate to this particular forum. I frequent several and they each have their own rules, mannerisms and etiquette... it seems no 2 are alike. While one may not allow uploaded images, another seems to prefer it, etc. etc. I've read the FAQ for this one and the "how-to's" but if I do something out-of-the-ordinary please let me know.
Back to Pachinko - I grew up playing a very old machine at the home of the neighbor and best friend of my wonderful grandmother. This old fella brought it back from the East in his Navy days (I think in the 50's). This old thing was wonderful but never fixed up. In fact, I believe it is sitting in a closet of the son or daughter of these people... collecting dust.For years now I've wanted one. Craigslist had them periodically in Vancouver but that is a fairly expensive trip for something that was over priced and from people who would rarely ever respond to emails. Finally I found one in my area and for only $55. The "dude" who had it wouldn't let me inside his apartment and called through the door to know "What do you want?" Wouldn't tell me his name and wouldn't show me his "Other" one. Okay...How about $40? SOLD!
