SlotUSA: Pachinko Ball Trays --- IRRITATED!

Talk about deceptive advertising!

I emailed SlotUSA twice regarding whether or not I could get 12 or 24 of the same pachinko ball trays in Red or Blue. I also mentioned that I did not want Black.

They finally responded on after the second email stating "No, they come in assorted colors. They're packaged that way." Their website also states something like:

Picture is for illustration purposes only, price is for twelve (24) trays. Actual color, design, and or logo may vary

and has the following picture:

I finally decided to make the leap and get the 24-pack assuming that given "they come in assorted colors" I'd find at least 8-12 in Red, Blue, Orange, Yellow, et cetera.

What do I end up with?... 24 decidedly Unassorted Black trays with the exact same "Super Rotary" logo on the side and a single Japanese symbol on the other. Did I mention that Black was the last color I was looking for? Did I mention that they are Filthy and look like they were used to carry dirt from a vacuum cleaner to the outdoors.

What a joke! That's the last time I order from them. I don't care what pachinko they have going forward.

I'm getting a little verklempt, and not in a good way. I think I need to go practice some yoga.

Maybe an email directed to Joe will get them to offer to exchange them for better trays or perhaps a compensation of some sort.

I agree, one color does not "assorted" make.

Bilko44: Despite my vow not to ever deal with them again I'm going to take your advice and email Joe as I get stressed every time I look at that stack of 24 filthy black trays which I refuse to touch yet.

I'll let you know if my irritation abates slightly based on their reponse.

Well they are assorted colors. I'm sure the filth in them is not all uniform in color from one to the next. :-( Sorry I couldn't help myself :oops:

All in good fun! Joe Pesci's character is a classic and I thought it was appropriate.

That will get you black trays with no writing on them.

Kamehany on the constructive side. Is there a reason that you don't want black ? The reason is most do want black that I have found, and that they all match.

I think someone there was tring to be nice and give you all matching ones.

When you talk/email Joe, explain that you said you didn't want all black (if you noted in the comment window no black), because those that answer the email may not fill the orders ?

It sounds like to me that there is a misscomuacation (misspelled) on what you wanted and what they pulled.

As to the dirt, all the trays I have gotten from any of the vendors were dirty, the reason is if they spend the time cleaning them, the cost would be much higher.

I am not excusing them or you. I am just listing what I have read here and in buying the tray also from them and a few others of what I have found.

Being nice, always works best, unless you are dealing with a wacko. Than streaner means are requied. I have found this vendor aren't wackos. So I think nice should work.

Thanks for the sanity check. I'll say up front that I generally agree with everyone and that's probably why I (subconsciously) decided to vent here first as opposed to going straight for their collective jugular and getting nothing from them.

I am of the sugar variety much more than the vinegar, but it gets exhausting having to muster it (the sugar) up when, in my view, vendors should be providing the level of customer service and product that is advertised (e.g. similar to the picture and description in terms of quality, color, cleanliness). It shouldn't require a second call or email which seems to happen more frequently than not in this market.

If their advertisement or they (on their phone call to me) said "dropshipped" or "delivered directly from another vendor" or they said "not only are you likely not to get any red or blue but you're likely to get 24 of the one you specified you didn't want (black)," I would have either "communicated" better with them than I did, not ordered, or or set my expectations very low.

I believe that we're all becoming accustomed to shoddy product, refurbishments and cleanings because we don't demand better and more which, unfortunately, as is laid out elsewhere many times in this forum, is likely due to the lack of competition and high shipping costs (relative to the cost of the product) which causes most to say "oh well, it's not worth the hassle."

Anyway, enough of my monotonous monologue. I do believe things have a way of working themselves out one way or another. Maybe it was simply meant to be a lesson to me or my inauguration to this marketplace. I never claimed to be a fast learner.

I still love the pachinkos and pachislos which is why I came here in the first place. And you have all provided me with invaluable information, insight, and, now, a sanity check. The cabernet hasn't hurt either!
