Heiwa No Fire

Just got a vintage Heiwa off of eBay. According to the sticker, it is a 1974. Complete machine except it is missing the jackpot cover in the back. Plastic and chrome is in exceptionally good condition but the cell has some water staining around some of the nails. Also needs a good cleaning. Wouldn't release balls from the playing tray to the bottom tray. Discovered that someone had jammed a small piece of paper towel preventing the balls to drop. Had to get a few balls out that were rolling about in the seesaw area. Hooked up a wall wart and checked the bulbs and fuse...lights lit but had the recently discussed bent leaf switch problem posted in another thread. Got the leaf switch bent correctly and she's working fine now. Can anyone tel me what the "No Fire" is all about?

something about the case of your machine looks odd.. is the lower section bigger then normal??? (below the playfield)

is the play field shorter??

something looks out of proportion... or am i just crazy

So, I just had to get out my tape measure and check it out. The frame that holds the glass is approximately 17' x 17"...the same as my Nishijins, Sankyos and Monako. Interestingly enough, the frames on my Sanyos and Maruhon are 1" shorter. The circumference of the circle containing the nails measures approximately 14" for all of them. All the machines measure approximately 20.5" x 32". Sooooo... either it's an optical illusion or yes, as you say, you are just crazy. I'm wondering if the NO! FIRE above the ashtray is a warning...like WARNING! HOT and something got lost in the translation. Originally, I thought it was the name of the model...Heiwa NO! FIRE...like Nishijin Sophia. ...so I'm the crazy one. Anyone else have any guesses on what the NO! FIRE might be ?

I should have said diameter, not circumference.

the last pics are small cant se any detail.. looks like your missing more of the back plastics thne ya think..

looks like the whole back cover is gone which is needed for play.

Which if that is gone they it would be best to just find a new machine as there are no replacement parts.

Trying to download bigger photos of trouble spots and show additional plastic that I have. I know that I am missing a tunnel but feel confident to be able to fabricate.

first pic is back side of plastic cover. I imagine from the hole in the bottom that something comes up from a rocker bar below and pushes the platform up or the platform pushes down on the bar below?

second pic shows rocker bar with nothing attached to right side.

third pic shows two nails that I don't think are original. A good pic of this location would be good.

fourth is as a purchased the machine.

fifth and sixth is trying to figure out correct location of rocker bar.

you 3rd pic has two nails there are correct and are placed correctly in the last picture you posted..

This machine appears to be almost identical to our "Bull" that we have here. The "tunnel" you're missing appears to be the ball dump chute. When you trip the ball dump by poking a paper clip in a hole in the front, you will find a "hole" in the ramp just before the jackpot "wheel". That literally just feeds straight down to just to the right of the "losing ball" opening at the bottom of the machine. Attached is a picture of ours for reference.
