    Wow!!!

Thats different. A Nishijin Model A adapted for coin operation. NEVER seen one of those before!!

Oh and yes, its a Vintage Machine from the around the early 70's but the addition of the coin capability could have been done later in the mid to late 70's. Very unusual!!

You'll get alot of information here so check back soon!

be interesting to see how the coin op works... does the entry of a coin pull the jackpot lever? that seems like the simplest way to make you pay for balls?

thank you for your interest but i do not know much about these machines. As I look at the back there is a plastic catch tray that holds from 4-10 balls in it and when the credit is added the tray falls down allowing the set amount of balls drop into the handle area and then you use the handle to shoot the balls. There is a tray in the back that holds all the balls untill the credit is added.

yes and no... the coin runs threw a sensor, then the sensor sends a signal to a solonoid that trips the jackpot seesaw... like wise any winning ball would trip a similer sensor and then fire the solonoid again to give you more balls to play and continue the current game...

as long as you are able to continue geting balls in payout pockets your score will climb and the game continues...

keep in mind these are hands off games... play has no access to the Pachinko balls

Hey Mopar, when I replied I couldn't see the second image of the insides (and didn't check the links). I see how that works now.

Would love to see a breakdown of the circuitry, just in case I ever come across a machine that could be converted.

Manuals are really nonexistent... machines were made to be used for a short time in japan then trashed for new ones.. they were never ment to last more then 18 months...

if they broke in the parlor they were most likly trashed on the spot..

if a mater of learing on the fly and building your own parts.. the things i love most

as for a name im almost posative your machine started life as a Nishijin Model "A" machine...

there are no knowen names for the early machines... we make them up.. your looks like a "Ken"

Interesting that there is a tilt plumb bob at the bottom left similar to a pinball tilt mechanism. The smaller fill hopper is mounted at the mid point and there is a mother board of some sort. Hybrid ?

I don't know about anyone else, but I'm personally a big fan of "learing on the fly". Although, it's illegal in some states (including mine).
