I do like and enjoy them. Have a few, enjoy target and lite comp shooting, and it makes me feel more secure in certain situations. Also have a Concealed Carry Permit.
Won't try to change anyones mind about their viewpoint, but hope they respect mine as well.

we got a .22 air rifle used for rabbits. But did do shotting in the philippines. I though target practice was good fun. Using different style of weapons. but only from a point of skill.
Annoyed they didn't let me use the M16 on automatic though

the things you learn about People... I assumed you were Canadian born and raisedive fired a Hk11 in full auto mode a few times during my stint in the Greek military.. fun fun fun...

Well i was born and raised in Canada, my parents both originally from Greece. This makes me Greek by birthright if you will, and therefore I was subject to compulsory Military service, as all Greek males are. So when I moved to Greece I did my stint. At the time the term was 18 months, but due to my status as a Foreign Greek Volunteer I was only required to do 6 months. Had i not volunteered and spent more then 6 months in Greece after my 18th birthday i would have been obliged to do the full 18. I was 23 when i moved to Greece and i had already accumulated 5 months in Greece after my 18th Birthday due to an extended after Graduation trip i took after high school.. so it was a no Brainer.. enlist and save 12 months.
the standard rifle we used was again an HK G3A3, and for the sake of rambling some more I'm an anti tank T.O.W. operator (that was my specialty)

after shooting my M1 for weeks in basic training, an amorery team came by and inspected weapons for to much wear.
my M1 was condemmed along with about 1/2 in our company
then we were givin M1's that had been in storage many years coated with cosmiline
and it took days to get them cleaned up good enough for daily inspection

I have owned a variety of hunting rifles, shotguns and a couple of handguns over the years.
Right now, I only have a Mossburg 12 gauge pump shotgun.

I am going to purchase one of their 9mm handguns in the near future.
My brother raves about the ones he has, he has the 40 S & W and 9mm..I have shot the 9mm and it is a nice, smooth compact gun.
