Favorite Drink Recipes
Based on a discussion in the Shoutbox today, it seems like a number of our members have recipes for "adult beverages" that others would like them to share. I thought I would start this thread so that those who were part of that discussion can post, and those who would like to contribute the delinquency of others can also share.
I thought I would get the thread rolling with my recipe for Baja-style Margaritas - a recipe I learned on the beach in Baja many years ago...
Baja-style Margaritas
Equal parts of:
1-3 Tablespoons of Honey (depending on your preference)
- Lime juice (key lime juice tastes best)
- Triple Sec
- Tequila (Cuervo Gold is my favorite)
Mix well in a blender and pour over ice in a salted rim glass
The honey will tame the tartness of the lime juice and add a smooth texture. If you like your margaritas less tart, add more honey.
