Default Need more info on this Machine

    Good day all,

It has been a while since I was on this forum but I am back . Just bought my first pachinko machine as you can see on the pictures. But first a bit of story about it. It was bought in 1978 by a woman serving as a nurse in the Canadian Airforce. She had a stop in Hong Kong and like many of her friends she picked up the machine as a souvenir.

Now that her kids and grand kids are all grown ups she decided to part with it. I picked it up at her place and I had a very long chat with her. It was quite neat to get all the details etc.

However, because it was a souvenir she never got anymore info on it that is why I am calling on all you pachinko gods out there

What can you tell me about this machine? I hope my pictures are good enough to give you a taste of it. The machine is in perfect working order. Except for some of the small color flaking as you can see nothing is wrong with it. By the way, how do I restore the paint?

    Anyhow, enough for now.

    take care

    Looks great! Love the colorfulness!

As far as details, I'll take an amateur guess and say it's a Nishijin B, made in 1975?

its a "B" style of machine yes.. but its not a Nishijin brand.. its a Kyoraku

i see its dated 51 so that makes it a 1974 or 1975 build date.. (Estamated of course)

the Dragon fly is really cool.. the wings should be on springs and have lite action when a ball passes them

the electric bell on the back is something new... does it work??? how and when??

great looking Pachi no stains to speak of i would not touch it.. thats a nice keeper

I didn't think it was Nishijin, but saw "Super Deluxe" and jumped. Still learning...

I wish I had a dollar for every person who called me and said they had a Super Deluxe and wanted me to tell them everything about it.

    Hello,

I can see the manufacturer is 'Kyoraku' and the term 'Electric' is on the front. I know some of our Members do have these models and have posted about them and I'm sure they will pop by to give you their thoughts

In the meantime I just tried a search for 'kyoraku electric' and it brought up a few threads that you may find of interest, here's a couple to start you off

Of course do be sure to post any questions or observations you may have, it's all part of the fun, learning all about these

paint is coming of from both of mine as well and it was flaking in the early 80's when I first remember playing with them. very well built machines and the electro bell is cool (I don't have that on mine) If you need any help with the workings give me a shout as I have been playing with this model for 30 years

Yes the bell does work. It goes off when you "pocket" a ball and the payout is coming. It lasts about 3 seconds at the same time that the top light goes off. The other light "top right" is to tell you the machine is running out of balls. Of course the machine does not have to be plugged in to work, you simply don't have any warnings other than the sound of the balls falling when you win.

    tks

Tks I had already read those two. The second one "addition to my collection" is 95% identical to mine when it comes to the working mech except mine has a bell. Only the playfield design is different.

    tks

Thank you...thank you..THANK YOU...for posting decent quality pictures!

I don't know about anyone else but, I get a bit frustrated sometimes at the uber-crappy cell phone pics that so-often get posted.

And you macro shots...like the sticker...are, dare I say it, In-Focus!!

It's like a breath of fresh air.

Oh, and very nice machine! The cell appears to be in fantastic shape.

Hey! I wanted people's help thus it should be easy for anyone to see what I have. It only took me 5 minutes with an average camera.

    take care
